I held my mirth on the inside. “Radic knows best.”

Bonnie patted the huge vampire on the back. He was like a fucking golden retriever with fangs. “Tanner is actually an excellent doctor. He has senses even better than a Manix.”

Tanner grinned broadly. “Hell yeah I do. I can tell you who the rest of your Pack members are just by scent, and I can tell how many weeks along your Omega is by the strength of the fetuses’ heart rates. Well, it isn’t really a heartbeat at this stage, more like a whoosh. But you know, it makes it easier to date that way.”

The world froze. It was like a record scratch, or when someone hit the brakes and your stomach suddenly felt like it was in your throat.

“Excuse me?” Kitten squeaked loudly, drawing the attention of those around us.

Tanner laughed. “Oh, not this Omega. The other one. Pretty fucking amazing reproductive system you guys have got there, if you ask me.” He pointed to Darius who was talking to one of the Legion Generals across the room.

Blood rushed in my ears. It was like a wave of white noise that got louder and louder until it threatened to consume me.

Darius was pregnant. Darius was pregnant.

Bonnie dropped her voice. “Darius is pregnant?” she echoed my thoughts in a whisper.

My Beast surged up in me along with an uncontrolled growl.

“I don’t think he knew. I suggest you take your Pack home, Alpha,” Courtland said softly.

It wasn’t a suggestion, it was a command, and I was already bundling Kitten up in my arms and moving her through the crowd toward the other side of the room. Beckett frowned, making his way over from where someone was mixing drinks.

“Home,” I growled, all Beast right now, and Beckett had the wisdom not to argue. I caught up to Cooper and Darius, who both took one look at my face and started making their excuses to leave. Beckett grabbed Kitten from my hands and led her outside. The other Alphas in my Pack were on alert for a threat, but there was no threat.

There was only a fucking miracle.

“Corvin, what's wrong? Kitten? Are you okay?”

Kitten swallowed hard. “We need to discuss this at home.”

I loaded them all into the ATV, driving home as fast as I dared. Which meant ten miles under the speed limit. At this rate, it would have been faster to crawl home, but I wasn’t taking any chances. Not with Darius, not with Kitten and not with the babies.

The babies. Our cubs.

I let out a shuddering breath and when we reached the Packhouse, Darius climbed out, folding his arms over his chest. “Corvin, not one more step until you tell me what the hell is going on. You’re freaking me out right now.”

I looked at the man that I loved with my whole heart. For nearly a decade, he’d been my whole world. And now…

“Darius, you’re pregnant.”

DARIUS

Ilaughed at Corvin. Right there, in his face. “No I’m not.” I looked at Kitten’s stricken expression, and my humor faded away. “I’d know if I were pregnant. You guys would know. You’d be able to smell the changes in my scent.”

“Not for a while. Apparently, our senses aren’t quite as good as a vampire from Australia who sounds like he wrestles crocodiles for fun,” Corvin grumbled.

I slumped down on the grass. Shit. My brain couldn’t comprehend what Corvin was telling me. Not really.

“Do we believe him?” Cooper’s voice was a rough whisper. “Do we trust that he knows what the hell he’s talking about? I mean, up until a few weeks ago, he’d never met a Manix, let alone a pregnant male Omega.”

Corvin shrugged. “He seemed pretty sure. Didn’t even realize that we had no clue.”

“How?” Beckett asked, and I noticed he was holding onto a still gray-looking Kitten. “We were safe.”

Well, mostly. I mean, we weren’t the gold standard of safe sex, because things got a little wild during the heat. But we’d been careful. Careful of Kitten—the last thing we wanted to do was trap her into anything when she was still learning she was an Omega.
