“It’s so good to see you,” Luka said, then turned slightly more red, looking away from the camera for a moment. He looked so shy, it squeezed Reno’s heart.

“Likewise.” Reno flashed him a smile, as if he wasn’t having trouble breathing properly. “Let me grab my camera stand.”

“Okay.” Luka was fussing with his hair, twisting the ends of it between his fingers. Reno got caught watching, “Go.” Luka shooed him away and Reno set the phone down to grab the stand from the living room.

Reno set the stand onto his bedside table, then adjusted his phone to point at his bed and crawled back into it.

“I’m surprised your blankets aren’t pink at this point,” Luka said.

Reno smirked. “My office is pink. My kitchen is blue. You’ll see for yourself. What’s with all the gray?” Reno pointed towards the camera, to suggest pointing at Luka’s room; even his bedding was gray. The only pops of color came from the art and the bookshelf.

“It lets me see color better,” Luka defended himself. “I already have to deal with artificial light when I paint, I don’t need color bouncing off my walls and tinting how I perceive the pigments I’m working with.”

“The more you know,” Reno said, not really understanding but taking Luka’s word for it. He wasn’t sure he’d ever thought too much about color beyond liking or disliking certain ones.

Luka adjusted himself in bed until he was sitting. “You gonna start, or me?”

“Your game,” Reno said, then sat up too, keeping his blanket pulled over his lap.

“Okay." Luka flushed, then put a hand to his chin and lip in thought. “I want you to put a collar on me.”

Reno wasn’t going to survive the night. “Yes.” The image of a thick collar around Luka’s neck, maybe a chain to tug him, already had Reno reeling. “Leash?”

Luka shrugged, half smiling like he’d be open to the idea. “It’d need a tag. Maybe it could have your number on it in case I get lost.”

Reno pulled a sock off and threw it across the room. “Yes.”

Luka sounded delighted when he put a hand over his mouth to stifle a laugh. “Your turn.”

Reno asked, “Can I put a bell on your collar?”

“Is that your turn?”

“No.” Reno scratched his head. “Still curious though.”

Luka rolled his eyes. “What, gonna make me wear cat ears and a tail too?”

Reno wasn’t proud of the noise he made.

“Holy fuck, well. Alright.” Luka pushed his hair away from his face. “I’ll take a sock off for that one even though it wasn’t your official turn.” He lifted his foot and pulled his sock off to drop off the bed. “Now do yours.”

“I want to take you to a fancy resort and spoil you.”

“Oh, come on.” Luka crossed his arms over his chest. “Try again.”

“I’d fuck you on the hotel room balcony out in the open.”

He uncrossed his arms and looked surprised for a moment. “Huh. What time of day is it?”

“Broad daylight," Reno said.

“Maybe," Luka said, then compromised. “I’ll try nighttime first.”

“Deal,” Reno agreed. “Nighttime first, see what that does to you.”

Luka pulled off his other sock. “I’d figure with how much you have to hide from the press, public sex wouldn’t be appealing to you.”

Reno shook his head. “The opposite, actually.”
