Sasha grinned. “Quinn didn’t want to start the new year in the States.”

I frowned as I looked at Quinn, who sat on the couch with Helena in her lap. “I don’t get it.”

“We’re moving to Scotland,” she announced.

My eyes widened in shock. “You are?”

Igor stole my attention as he moved through the den and headed toward the liquor cart. He picked up a bottle ofKrasnyyvodka and poured himself a shot. He downed it in one swallow.

“Hen?”

I looked at Flynn. “Hmm?”

He was peering at me, his brow furrowed. “Did you hear what Quinn said?”

“Yeah, I heard,” I said, my smile quickly blooming across my face. “They’re moving to Scotland.”

Flynn shook his head. “After that.”

“No, sorry, I missed it.” I turned my attention to Quinn. “What did you say?”

“I asked if we could crash with you while we castle hunt,” Quinn said with a rueful grin.

“I said it was fine,” Flynn announced. “There’s just one thing we need to settle first.”

“Da.” Sasha nodded.

Flynn clenched his fist and slugged Sasha across the jaw. Quinn’s breath hitched, but otherwise there wasn’t a sound in the room.

“Welcome to Scotland,” Igor muttered.

“I deserved that,” Sasha said, gingerly touching his face.

I looked at Flynn who wasn’t staring at Sasha, but at me.

“It’s done. I forgive you,” Flynn proclaimed. His eyes slid from me to Sasha and held out his hand to him.

Sasha took it.

Quinn glanced at me from the confines of the couch, her eyebrows raised nearly to her hairline.

I shrugged and then went to properly greet Sasha with a hug. Then I sat down next to Quinn.

“We’re really not putting you out?” Quinn asked, pitching her voice lower. She looked at me and then to Sasha who was already engaged in conversation with Flynn as if no violence had occurred. They took the chairs by the fireplace. Two masculine men; rulers of dynasties and creators of legacies that would last centuries.

Igor poured himself another shot of vodka, and I heard the sound of the bottle as he set it back down on the cart.

“No, you’re not putting us out. Not at all,” I assured her. I attempted to ignore Igor’s presence, but he dominated my attention.

“We didn’t call and let you know we were coming.” She bit her lip and brushed a finger down Helena’s cheek.

“Never call,” I stated. “I’m glad you guys just showed up. How did you get Tony not to call ahead and let us know you were at the gates?”

“He was in on the surprise,” Sasha stated.

Quinn glanced at Piper. “Now I get to see this little beauty in person. Can you believe it? We have daughters. It’s a pity they’re not closer in age.”

“That only matters when they’re young and the age difference is more obvious. But I think if they grow up together, the age thing won’t matter.”
