I take a quick shower and go to the office where the doctor is waiting.

“Hi, doctor, let’s get this done because I need to leave,” I say, staring at him.

The Bratva doctor is an older man; he’s been with the Bratva since Otets was Pakhan.

“Czar, let me see the wound,” Doctor Gorky says, pushing up his thick eyeglasses.

I take off my dark navy sweater and T-shirt. The doctor cuts off the wrap and examines it.

“You do need stitches, a few, but it looks good,” Doctor hums, turning to look at his bag.

It takes the doctor thirty minutes to take care of the fucking gunshot.

I drive over to Mia’s house, anxious to get there. She’s staying there since Valentina is always out with Pakhan. The house appears abandoned, and that’s not good. Starting tonight, I’m going to stay here with Mia. I don’t fucking care if Pakhan or Conti get pissed. Mia shouldn’t be left alone in our fucking world, it's fucking dangerous! She’s a fucking Mafia Printsessa, hmmm, Principessa. The underworld can take her for all sorts of reasons.

Fuck!

My blood boils, and I press down on the gas to get to her fast.

Conti doesn’t fucking care; he doesn’t have any Soldiers protecting her. What about her fucking brother and cousins? Motherfuckers are too busy fucking around. Da, I’ve looked into them. I can’t wait to meet the son of bitches at the engagement party.

I pull up to the front door and turn off my SUV. I get out, grab my bag, and walk to the front door. I pull out the key that Mia gave me, open the door, and walk inside, closing and locking the door.

“Babe,” Mia squeals, running to me.

I drop the bag and open my arms, watching her giggle.

“Baby girl, come here,” I growl, pulling her close. I kiss her with the damn wild hunger that makes me crazy.

Mia melts into my arms, and I grab her lush ass pulling her into my arms. I walk into the living room. I know the layout of this house, and I made it my business to know every weak spot.

Mia pulls away, running her fingers through my hair, smiling.

“I’m so happy that you’re here with me. I ordered some pizza,” Mia says, smiling.

“That sounds good. I can install the security system that I bought.”

“Okay, then we can eat and watch the movie.”

“Da, I can do that. It won’t take me long to install the equipment.”

“Good, the pizza should be here soon.”

Days later.

Pakhan walks into the office, looks at his cell phone, raises his eyebrows, and looks up at us.

“Brats, are you ready,” Pakhan asks.

“Yeah,” I hum, nodding.

“Da, I bet you are. You like Mia,” Pakhan huffs, rolling his eyes.

“Da, is there a problem with that?”

“Yes, you know damn well that Conti wants to marry her off,” Pakhan growls, gathering his brows.

“Nyet! I can marry her,” I hiss, shaking my head.
