“I’m just glad to see you happy! It’s about fucking time you two made it official.” He shoots me a devilish grin.

“There are so many places I could go with that.” Grayson reaches over to poke me.

I intercept him before he can make contact, hooking our index fingers together. “It’s too early for sex puns.”

“It’s never too early for sex puns,” Grayson and Sam say at the exact same time.

There’s a knock on the door, and Deidre pokes her head in. “Are these two almost done?”

Sam swipes a slick of gloss on my lips. “Emmy is all set.”

Amanda gives Grayson’s hair a final tousle. “So is this one.”

“Good. Go get changed, you two. We’ve got a tight schedule today because we have a reshoot in addition to our final scene.”

I groan, knowing I have no one to blame but myself and the hot piece of ass next to me for the extended day. Because some of our essential scenes were shot during the early days of filming, when our acting was cringeworthy,we’ve had to reshoot a bunch of stuff in the intervening weeks to catch up.

The two of us head to the wardrobe room and don’t even bother moving into private spaces to change, stripping down in the middle of the room and stepping into our assigned clothes.

Grayson catches me checking him out and gives me a cocky grin and a biceps flex.

I roll my eyes, but it doesn’t cover the hint of drool that escapes my mouth.

We stroll onto set hand in hand, and Liz gives us a low whistle and a slow clap. “My, my, how the turn tables.”

She’s awarded with her own eye roll. “Yeah, yeah.”

Liz turns to Grayson. “I’d love to give you the whole hurt-my-best-friend-and-I’ll-kill-you routine, but we don’t have time for that, so let’s get to it, shall we?”

Deidre comes over to give us the run-down for today. I make it a point to have fun, to enjoy these final moments, and I lose myself in the story and the character. Grayson and I are a well-oiled machine at this point, our give-and-take a perfect balance. I know this final day is going to end before I want it to, and when Liz calls cut for the last time, announcing it’s a wrap to cheers and applause, Grayson gathers me in a sweeping hug.

I bury my face in his neck, breathing in the pine and charcoal embedded in his skin.

“This is only the beginning, Harper,” he murmurs, his mouth tracing the shell of my ear.

I separate us enough so I can look him in the eye. “Do you have any pressing engagements coming up this week?”

He raises his eyebrows. “I don’t think so.”

“I’m pretty sure Linda would be happy to extend the lease on my room for a few more days.” I loop my arms loosely around his neck. “Wanna stay here for another week?”

He grins, and his eyes light up like the red carpet on Oscar night. “Hell yes, I want to stay.”

And so we do.

Screen Scandals

Be still our very hearts, dear friends, because we are beyond excited to confirm our earlier suspicions: Grayson West and Emmy Harper areofficiallya couple. Okay, not officially in the way where they’ve confirmed it to the press or anything, but based on the photo evidence we’ve been collecting from their time on set shootingNo Reservations(see that oh-so-romantic gazebo kiss) and the several sightings of the two of them together out and about in Los Angeles now that filming has wrapped, we feel pretty confident that we can declare #Emson the new Hollywood It Couple. Although it might not seem like these two have a lot in common—she’s known for her witty and brilliant writing and has been dubbed the next Nora Ephron, while he’s... got really nice abs... not to mention neither has a particularly stellar dating record—you can tell by the way they look at each other that these two have a love that will last (hopefully at least until the premiere ofNo Reservations, which, sadly, won’t be until early next year). We’ll keep an eye on these two hotties. Let us know if you spot them out in the wild!

Chapter Nineteen

Liz sends me a link to the latest reporting on “Hollywood’s Newest It Couple,” along with a string of laughing-face emojis. I respond with a GIF of a kick line of middle fingers.

Me:You’re welcome for all the free publicity.

Liz:You say that like it doesn’t also benefit you.

Me:Yeah, well, I’m the one whose personal life is now being stalked by low-budget paparazzi.
