She screamed out one climax after another. The sharp edges of her nails bit into his arms. His hand rapidly shook the massager over her pussy, adding another degree of stimulation. When she came the fourth time her body practically shot out of the water.

Lucian released the impromptu chrome sex toy and moved over her, guiding her hands to the lip of the tub and pressed his over hers, locking her in place. Cool air blanketed his back as he rose out of the water and drove into her. It didn’t take long after how hard she had gripped him through her last orgasm. As he thrust into her his release bubbled up and suddenly shot into her. Amazingly, beautifully, she came again on the coattails of his own release.

He thrust into her once more, as was becoming his wont and their bodies sagged into the water as one. Hers was lax, drained from her multiple climaxes. Lucian cradled her in his arms and dragged a sheaf of her now wet hair away from her face and kissed her deeply, pouring all of his emotion into it.

She panted. Whispering against his lips, she smiled. “You’re going to kill me. We can’t do that again for at least twenty-four hours.”

Lucian chuckled. “We’ll see. I’ll just have to be gentle. I don’t think I can go more than a few hours without being inside of you.”

Chapter 37

Squeeze

Gradually increasing the pressure of a bind

Needing to get out of the condo for a bit, Lucian took Evelyn to a privately owned sushi restaurant off the main line.

“It’s like cat food,” she said, poking the sashimi with a chopstick. The waiter took pity on her and wrapped her chopsticks with a rubber band like he’d seen done before for children.

Lucian laughed. “It’s a notch above cat food, I should hope.”

Her lip curled. “If you can afford to have someone cook for you, why wouldn’t you? I don’t see how this is appetizing.”

Reaching over the tray of ginger and spices, he plucked up the piece of fish she continued to poke and popped it in his mouth. Her throat flexed as if even watching someone eat uncooked fish was unsavory to her.

When he swallowed, he placed a piece of tempura on her plate. “Here, try this. It’s cooked.”

She eyed it cynically. “What is it?”

“Crab. If you like a little spice, try dipping it in this. There’s wasabi in it though, so be careful. Even a dab can make your eyes water.”

She clumsily lifted the piece to her lips and nibbled. Lucian chuckled when the roll fell apart. She cupped her palm under the sprinkling of white sticky rice and cucumber. With a huff, she dropped the mess onto her plate and put her chopsticks down with a click. “This is too much work.”

They laughed throughout dinner. Evelyn enjoyed the vegetarian roll the most because it didn’t include fish, only a wrap of raw vegetables. He offered her some Japanese beer, but limited her consumption, keeping in mind she was not yet accustomed to drinking much.

“Do you really not know when your birthday is?”

She sipped the glass of beer and shook her head. “Nope. I’ve never had a birthday either, made up or otherwise. I think it would be nice to blow out candles and make a wish.”

Lucian’s heart ached for her. Such a simple statement, but so telling of the kind of existence she’d led. “I intend to make that happen. Pick a date and we’ll declare it your birthday from here on.”

A tight little smile formed at her lips. The outside edges of her eyes creased with contained joy. “Really?”

“Really. We’ll have a great celebration with cake and candles and presents galore.”

Her eyes took on a dreamy wonderment, and she tapped the space between her upper lip and her nose with her petite finger. “When’s your birthday?”

“October eighth.”

“Can I pick January eighth, then?”

“You can pick whatever you want.”

A smile bloomed on her face. “That’s what I pick, January eighth. Can we get balloons?”

Lucian considered her request. “I suppose we can arrange for balloons.”

Her mouth opened as she gazed at him, smile still fresh on her face. He thought she would say something, but then the waiter came to drop off the check, interrupting the moment.

On the drive back to Patras, she lounged into his side. Lucian found himself always touching her. His fingers played with a strand of her hair, and he watched it turn shades of dark copper under the passing lights and the glow of the moon seeping through the skylight.

“How do you feel about coming to my home with me for the next two weeks until Christmas? I’d like you to meet my sisters, and we’d be closer to your mother. If she’s doing better and ready for visitors, maybe we could visit with her.”
