I blink at her. “You want more kids?”
“I think it’d be nice for Tuck to have a brother or sister. Don’t you?”
My lips curl at the corners and I bob my head.
She grins at me, leaning forward to press a kiss to my lips.
I close my eyes, enjoying the feel of her warm affection.
Pulling back, she cups my cheek and smiles at me again. “Wow. Tyrell Jackson wanting four permanent walls. This is definitely something new.” Her voice is playful and amused. “Next thing I know, you’ll be making me your wife.” She laughs, then goes back to leaning her head on my shoulder.
My insides go still, the idea riding through me.
It’s not like I haven’t thought about it before. It’s just that we always want to use our savings for travel, so the idea of spending money on a wedding just didn’t seem that important.
But now I’m sitting here wondering if having a missus by my side might be a damn cool idea.
Mrs. Jackson.
Mrs. Hill-Jackson. Mrs. Jackson-Hill.
Man, I don’t care what the fuck she calls herself as long as it’s mine.
My woman.
Mywife.
Huh. I didn’t realize how much I’d love the sound of that.
CHAPTER 18
ELIZABETH
Wily was giving me his bedroom eyes earlier this evening.
Even after over a decade together, I still feel that delicious shiver roll right through me when he looks at me that way. I can’t believe he still finds me sexy, but he seems to love my body like no one else can.
We haven’t had a chance to be intimate since before Paris was born. But maybe tonight is our night.
Yes, I’m exhausted. The kids are all wonderful and I love them dearly, but this tribe—when they’re all together—is noisy and chaotic.
I don’t mind it when I can organize them into a game of some kind, but when they’re roaming free-range, it gets too much for me.
Thankfully, my youngest three are now down for the night.
Jane’s happy doing her artwork.
Dom’s hanging with Logan and Cole.
And Paris isn’t due for her dream feed for at least another hour.
Maybe Jane can have a later night than normal for once and I can give myself half an hour to enjoy my husband’s body.
If I can find him.
Padding away from my sleeping angels, I head down the hallway to our allocated room.
Sienna really outdid herself finding this place. The house we’ve been using for a few years prior to this one was big as well, but it felt kind of squishy last year. We had Charlotte and Sebastian sleeping in with us, and one room had eight kids piled into beds together.
