“I thought maybe you just wanted children.” His hands roamed over her naked body.

“This is not the case.” She held him tighter. “And if you don’t ‘bother’ me, I’ll definitely ’bother’ you!” She said in a meaningful tone.

“You can ‘bother’ me any time!” He kissed her neck and his hand cupped her breast, more swollen than when he last saw it.

“Oooh, Hugh!” She moaned loud.

He lifted his head quickly. “Did I hurt you?” His expression worried.

“No. It’s that my breasts are so sensitive. I burn every time you touch them!” She closed her eyes to revel in the pleasure of his hand on it.

“Is that so?” His memory popped up the recollection of the last nights before she left the Hawkmore house two years before, and how she’d reacted to him touching her strangely more voluminous mounds. He continued his caresses.

“Hugh!” She sighed. “If you don’t stop, I’ll need you in a question of minutes!”

He grazed his arousal on her. “That won’t be a problem!” He kissed her while his fingers continued torturing her.

A few days later, Sarah knocked at the library door. When he allowed entrance, she came in. He sat at his desk reading a newspaper. He looked at her and remembered the searing nights they had been having since she seduced him. She looked at him the same way, sharing memories.

“I need to go visit my aunt.” She said when she could escape his hypnotic stare.

Before Sarah married Hugh, she used to visit her aunt regularly. She had written to the old lady inviting her for the wedding, but the poor aunt run down with a cold and could not come. After the wedding, her life changed so much. She blushed at the thought of how delicious it had become too.

“Alright. I’m coming with you.” He said as it felt like high time he met the woman who helped Sarah so much before and after she came to London.

She felt surprised that he showed interest in meeting a simple peasant old lady. “Oh, fine! It’s a two-hour ride from London.”

“So we can leave early tomorrow morning. What do you think?”

“Sounds great.” She left the library and went to prepare for the trip.

Sarah’s aunt, Mrs Enid Barrow, a bony, tiny woman in her sixties, lived in a very well refurbished and furnished cottage. The one Sarah had lived as a teenager. Enid looked very happy to see them.

“So you are the famous Lord Hawkmore.” She curtsied. “It’s an honour to receive you!”

“Thank you.” As he greeted the old lady, Hugh wondered what Sarah had been talking to her aunt about him. “It’s nice to meet you, Mrs Barrow.”

Sarah made her aunt sit and went to the kitchen to make tea for all of them.

“This is a cosy cottage, Mrs Barrow.” Hugh commented.

“My Sarah made all of it. It had gone to shambles when she left to London.” The old lady had a proud look in her face. ”She’s been sending me help since she got married to Sir Alfred.”

“I see.” Hugh could real

ise how Sarah felt thankful for Mrs Barrow and her concern that her aunt had some comforts in old age.

“So I could afford to refurbish it.”

“They made a good job, it seems.”

“Yes, Sarah sent the best masons here!” She adjusted her shawl. “And she sends me money every month, so I want for nothing.”

So Hugh understood Sarah’s concern in keeping the bank assets untouched. By doing that, she could continue with her charity projects and help her aunt without depending on him for that. He watched her as she came back to the sitting room with a tea tray. She revealed to be a smart woman who made the right choices. If she had not married Wilkins, she would be out of Hugh’s reach. He would never have been able to marry her if she had not been lifted by her first marriage. Hugh’s only choice would have been to make her his mistress and beget bastard children that would never inherit his title, as he’d like them to. Now, their children would be legitimate and would inherit his title and her bank. If he had not been able to marry her, he would have had to unfortunately choose some other frivolous lady from the Ton. Being married to her made him so happy. Much more than he ever thought possible.

Enid exhibited gladness to hear that Sarah had got with child again. “Oh, Sarah. This will make up for your first loss!”

Sarah nodded as her eyes got wet.
