Fifteen minutes later, we’re curled up on the couch, recovering from the best fuck of my life. I never minded condoms, but now that I’ve been inside Noi without one, I never want to use them again.

“Oh, I just remembered something,” I say into the quiet of the empty apartment. “Khun Intapong called earlier. She wants us to film a reaction for the rest of the episodes tomorrow. We need to head to the studio after your last class in the morning.” We’ve already filmed reactions for the first five episodes with P’Payu and P’Tar. Those are slowly being released as the episodes are.

Noi groans. “That means we’ll have to react to the love scene. Isn’t it in episode eight? Shit, Sud, Mae and Pah are going to see that in just a few weeks!” Noi shakes his head in dismay. “They’re going to see me touching you!”

“It’s okay. They’re over the age of eighteen,” I tease him. “And I touch you, too, you know.”

Noi groans again. “You do realize they’ll be watching that and thinking about what we do together in real life!”

That had not occurred to me.

“Why did you have to go and say that? Damn.”

Noi chuckles. “Welcome to hell.”

“Pah’s an actor, and Mae knows all about the business,” I reason. “They know what filming a scene like that involves and how unsexy it really is.”

Noi makes a face. “I don’t want to think about this anymore. Change the subject, please.”

“I do have a question for you. Do you wish you could stop acting? That you didn’t need to keep doing it to pay for your tuition? Be honest. Maybe we can figure something else out.”

Lifting his head, Noi stares at me, frowning.

“What’s wrong?”

“I’m not going to let some other guy step in and be your shipped partner. Not that I’m jealous,” he adds unconvincingly. “But I’m your partner. Nobody else. You hear me?”

Slowly, I nod. “I hear you. I don’t want another partner, Noi. Just you.”

Noi’s smile is brilliant.

“Maybe, when you’re ready to branch out into other stuff and get out of bl, I can be your manager,” Noi says, settling back into the crook of my arm.

“Really? You’d want to do that?”

“Of course. I’d be a great manager.”

I kiss his nose. “I know you would. Thank you.”

“For what?” he asks, turning his head up, bringing our faces so close his is a blur. I feel so much love for him at this moment, I don’t know what to do with it all.

Choosing my words carefully, I say, “For always being with me. For always cheering for me and helping me out even when you really didn’t want to. For accepting how protective I am andhow jealous I get. There’s no one in this world I want to be with more than you, Noi.”

Tears pool in his eyes. “I feel the same way,” he says. “And I want to thank you for always watching out for me, for putting up with my hermit-like tendencies, my bad moods, and my…slight…temper.”

I raise my brow at the ‘slight’ part but keep quiet. We stare at each other, smiling stupidly, until one of us leans in for a kiss.

And then it’s round two.

The end.
