“It’s not?”
“No,” Lily-Grace said with a firm nod. “There may be some fabric in the way, but you have my yoni basically pressed up against you. I’d be insulted if you weren’t a little turned on. Am I making you uncomfortable?”
“No.” Jesse didn’t want to scare her off, saying something stupid like how he hadn’t felt this good and terrified in a while. Lily-Grace leaned back a little so she could see his face more clearly. A simple motion he appreciated except for the fact that it pressed her lower body even tighter against his. He was fully erect now. “I’ve never been in this position before,” he admitted.
“With a woman in your lap?”
“Yeah.” His sex life had been filled with awkward missionary intercourse in beds too small for his body.
“Well, it’s a day of firsts for us both. So there’s something you should know about sex.”
“What’s that?”
“There’s a lot more to it than penetration. There is building a connection, even if it’s fleeting—and there’s this.” She glanced down to where their bodies were so close to being connected. Jesse’s erection twitched, pressing hard against his swim trunks, hard against Lily-Grace.
“If it’s okay, I’m going to kiss you now. Like for practice.”
“I should practice.”
“Let me show you then.”
Jesse held still as Lily-Grace pressed her lips to his. He tried to soak in everything about that moment. The softness of her mouth, the way the sunscreen smelled on her skin. Slowly she tilted her head, just the slightest bit, and parted her lips. Just the tip of her tongue brushed the seam of his lips and Jesse had a sense then what heaven might be like. She did it again, coaxing his lips apart, and he did as she did, just parting them a little, letting his tongue gently brush against her. It was the most amazing thing he’d felt in his whole life.
Lily-Grace pulled back and Jesse was positive the dazed expression on his face matched hers. “Not too bad.”
“You’re a good teacher.”
“We should keep working on it though. Just to be sure.” Jesse leaned forward this time, gently capturing her lips. He took it as a good sign when Lily-Grace moaned against his mouth and an even better sign when her hips started to move under the surface of the water. Jesse let out a muffled groan of his own, his hands moving to her perfect ass, molding her vulva around his full erection. Dry humping like teenagers in his pool had not been a part of the plan, but Jesse was grateful for the lesson. He was so caught up in the moment he noticed a second too late they weren’t alone.
“Jesse, fire up the—whoa!”
He broke away from their kiss to find Corie and Vega standing on the pool deck. The one time the dogs didn’t bark. Didn’t matter. Corie kept right on talking. “So this is what all that money bought last night. Damn, ya’ll move fast. I didn’t know you had it in you, Jess.”
Jesse felt his neck tensing again, heat rushing over the crown of his head. This was Corie all the time. Usually he had his own comebacks or would simply tell her to shut up, but Lily-Grace wasn’t usually in his lap.
“Can we help you?” Jesse said through gritted teeth.
“Man, calm down. We just want to know what time to fire up the grill.”
He didn’t know why exactly, but he felt his blood starting to boil. He didn’t want to lose it in front of Lily-Grace. Not now. Like she could sense it though, she put a hand on his neck, trying to soothe him with her touch. He looked her in the eye as she offered him a subtle nod. Everything was okay. Bad timing, yeah, but not the end of the world. He closed his eyes for a brief second, then looked back at his cousin.
“For what?”
“What do you mean, for what? Miss Leona ain’t cooking tonight. You know what that means. What time are we firing up the grill?”
“Um, never. And if you can’t tell, we’re kinda busy at the moment.”
“Ya’ll can keep doing what you’re doing. I just wanna know what we’re having for dinner. Burgers or steaks?”
Jesse and Corie hadn’t gotten into it in any real way in a while, but now he was getting a little sick of her shit. Luckily Vega caught the look in his eye. She reached forward and lightly grabbed Corie’s arm.
“Babe, stop. We’re going, and we can definitely feed ourselves dinner. It was nice to see you again, Lily-Grace. You want us to take the dogs with us?”
“Yeah, sure,” Jesse muttered. “Just leave Clementine.”
“Okay. We’ll see you guys.”
Corie muttered some crap back, but let Vega tow her out of the backyard. Jesse let out a deep breath when they closed the door behind them, but the tension refused to leave his body. He wanted to go underwater and count to one hundred.
