“Why don’t we start here first. I’ll fuck you in your bed. If it goes anything like that moment we had in that dark hallway, I could wanna do you in my sheets, too.”

“Go fuck yourself,” I snap.

“Been doin’ a lot of that, peaches. Haven’t touched anyone since that morning I first saw you when that skank Bella left. All I can think of fucking since then is you. And since you haven’t given in yet, I’ve been fucking myself imagining it’s you.”

“Oh, I’m so flattered.” I roll my eyes.

He starts advancing on me and I stand my ground and glare at him.

He gets to me and his arm goes around my waist and then he starts laughing and tugging on my Tigger tail.

“Wanted to grab this perfect ass, but since I’ve got a little tigress by the tail, I’ll make it work.”

“Get out,” I tell him, pointing at the door.

“Carly.” He’s smirking. He thinks this is all so hilarious. “I’m gonna fuck you. It’s gonna happen. Give in, let it. And then once it’s out of our system, let’s see where we’re at.”

“It isn’t gonna happen, Aiden. Not ever. I’m here for a new start. I’m serious about one thing right now. My job. That’s it, that’s all. You don’t interest me. And you’re not a nice person. If I was remotely interested in fooling around with anyone right now, it wouldn’t be someone who videotapes some girl he’s having sex with so that he can use it against her. It wouldn’t be someone who would screw with his own company to make an employee look bad.”

“You don’t have all the facts there, so you have no call to judge all that. With you, I’m not looking to hold something over you. That play with her happened for a very specific reason.”

“I don’t care. I’m not interested.”

“Alright, so you’re down for the thrill of the chase then. I’m game. Sounds more fun anyway. You’re gonna take my cock, baby. It’s gonna happen.”

He is so fucking cocky!

“Did you not hear a single word I just said to you?”

“I did.”

“Go away.”

He still has the pajama tail in his hand, still has his body right against me; the backs of my legs are flush against the foot of my bed.

“One shove and I’m on top of you. Wonder how much fight I’d get before I get your whimpers again, your fingers yanking my hair some more.”

“Fuck this shit. I’m outta here.” I shove him back.

He laughs.

“I’m moving downstairs,” I announce.

“No, you’re not.” he shakes his head.

“I am,” I insist.

His expression changes. “Nope. You’re not allowed to move in with the girls. We have company insurance and it doesn’t cover three people in that apartment. Just two. You move there, you’re violating a Carmichael Consulting rule.”

I glare at him. He’s so full of shit. “I’m not living there. I’m having a weekend sleepover and then I’m getting my own apartment Monday.”

He raises his eyebrows in challenge. “You sleep here. Be here tonight or you’re violating a Carmichael rule.”

“I’ll sleep at a hotel,” I say. “Or maybe I’ll go home with someone tonight.”

His expression changes and he shakes his head. “No.”

“Yeah,” I challenge. “Maybe I’ll go get my rocks off with some guy on a dancefloor who I don’t even tell my name or my number. Get it out of my system that way. Feel free to do the same. Out of my way.”
