“That didn’t answer my question.”

“I’m telling you, your boss needs to lighten up.”

Ricki sighed. “What do you want to film now?”

“Who.”

“Don’t give me the innocent act. Just tell me what you want.”

“It’s not an innocent act.” Blythe took a long sip from her coffee, making Ricki wait for her to finish. “I need your help filming, but it’s a who, not a what.”

“Jesus, I’ve been working seventy-hour weeks. Can you just answer the question without turning it into a riddle?”

“Fine. I need you to film Abby.”

“The librarian?”

“What other Abby is there?”

Ricki rolled her eyes to the ceiling. “Oh, I forgot. Of course, it’s the librarian since you’ve been talking to her for a couple weeks.”

“It’s been over a month.”

Ricki’s eyes widened. “Seriously? That long?”

Blythe didn’t think Ricki was faking her reaction, so Blythe said, “Dude, I seriously think you’re working too much.”

“Why do I need to film Abby, the librarian?”

“You know, you don’t have to add librarian every time you say her name.”

“Habit. But go on, tell me.”

“She’s coming here next weekend.”

“Likehere…here?” Ricki pointed at the kitchen table.

Blythe beamed. “Yep, I finally convinced her to visit. She’s coming on Friday night after work. I’m trying to score a deal with Amtrak.”

“I thought she lived a couple of hours away. Doesn’t she have a car?”

“Well, yeah, but airport greetings always film the best.”

“I thought you said Amtrak.”

“Yeah, but you know what I mean. Airports…train stations, they add to the allure. It’s not terribly sexy pulling up in a car.”

“So you want me to chronicle your meeting?”

“You’ve got it. Our followers are going crazy about us meeting. It’ll be pure gold.”

“Does Abby the—uh, does Abby know what you’re planning?”

“She’s a creator.”

“I’m thinking a reluctant one.”

“What, are you following her?”
