ity. The Earth’s moon shone brightly, lighting up his remarkable face.

“Paige,” he began, taking both her hands in his. “Marry me.”

She blinked a few times, unsure if that was an actual question or statement of fact. His eyebrows furrowed and he pursed his lips.

“Did I not do it right?” he asked. “You look… confused.”

She bowed her head so he couldn’t see the little smile form on her face.

He tipped her chin up. “Paige? Don’t tease me. Is it a yes or no?”

“Might I suggest you go down on one knee.”

“On my knee?”

She nodded. “You are asking a lady if she wants to be your wife. It’s your turn to kneel. I’m the boss. I decide.” She couldn’t help grinning from ear to ear.

“Seriously? This is how it is done?”

Of course there were many ways of proposing, but Paige didn’t want to ruin the advantage of knowing something he didn’t.

Slowly, Jamen sank onto one knee and once more took both of her hands in his. “Paige… will you marry me?” He gazed upward.

“Yes. I will marry you,” she said sweetly.

He exhaled, as if he’d held his breath for an eternity. “Good,” he said.

“Now you kiss me,” she suggested, puckering her lips.

His eyes glinted with moonlight. “Ah, now this is the part I’m most looking forward to.” He leaned toward her. “Don’t move. You’re just where I want you.”

He captured her giggling mouth with a passionate kiss—one to add to her growing collection.

The End
