We finally find them conveniently cowering together in their obnoxiously sized walk-in closet.
Fallon doesn’t even hesitate when she sees them. She pops off four rounds all around their heads. “Motherfuckers.”
Nadine screams in terror as Liam looks to be praying.
“We’ll give you anything! Just go and leave us be!” Nadine pleads. She really is a pathetic cow. It’s hard to believe Fallon was produced by those two pieces of shit.
“Dax, tie them up.”
This is a cinch. I grab two of Liam’s luxe ties and bind their hands behind their backs. They don’t even resist. Pitiful. “Shall I gag them, too?” I proudly hold up a very lovely Versace handkerchief.
“No, that can wait.” Fallon points the gun at their heads as they kneel in front of her.
Making myself comfortable, I lean against the side of one of the built-ins and enjoy the show. My girl is going to go to work.
“I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time.” Fallon stands there like the warrior she is.
“I bet you have,” Nadine seethes.
“Why do you place all the blame on me?” Fallon asks, tormented. “Why do you despise me? It’s him. He’s the one. He’s the one who destroyed everything! Destroyed me!”
“I knew you were a mistake the minute you were born.”
“Nadine,” Liam chastises her. Loyal to his obsession till the very end.
“I was a mistake because you knew what he was capable of!”
“Yes, I did!” Nadine cops to it. “And I hated you for it. Because I knew he would always love you more.”
“And you just let it happen! You let him abuse me. Control me. Ruin me.”
“Better you than me.”
Cold-ass bitch.
Fallon shakes her head in disbelief. “You are my mother! You’re supposed to love me!”
“I never wanted you!”
Fallon is doing her best to keep the emotions off her face, but I know her. I can tell. I see it all. Nadine’s brutal honesty is tearing her apart. If this isn’t a lesson on how not to parent, I don't know what is.
“Poppy, just send them to hell and be done with it,” I encourage her.
“Fifi, Fifi, wait,” Liam scrambles. “We can discuss this. We can come to an agreement. I’ll give you anything. We can work it out.”
“Like I would ever trust you. Like I would ever bargain with you. March is dead because of you!” She smacks him with the butt of the gun, and his lip splits wide open.Damn.
“I am taking Farrah, and we are going far away from here. Far away from this fucking hellhole. I am going to finish raising her, and I will make sure she never thinks of you again.”
“You can’t do that.” Liam seems to perk up when the subject of Farrah arises.
“Why not?”
“Because she’s my daughter,” Liam hollers at her.
“She’smydaughter!” Fallon wails, and I nearly lose my footing. What?“She’s mine”—tears escape down her cheeks, mixing with March’s blood—“and I am done pretending. I am done with the charade. I’m done believing that you two are the best thing for her just because you live in a big, nice house and have gobs of money.”
“You will destroy her if you do this.”
