Tommy

Icrashed my mouth onto hers, forcing her back down against the mattress with the weight of my body. Consequences be damned, I was tired of fighting it.

If it was this hard after only a few hours, what the hell would it be like spending every day with her without touching her? Maybe if she hadn't wanted me with as much zeal as I wanted her, I would have been able to control myself. But she did and I couldn't.

I dominated her mouth, and her tongue met mine, swipe for swipe.

Briella felt the same hunger that I did, of that I was sure.

Pulling away slightly, I let her catch her breath. Her eyes were hooded. Each laboured breath pushed her breasts against my chest. I could feel her nipples pebble against the thin material and ached to take each hard little bud into my mouth.

She would be sweet when I finally got to taste her, I already knew that. But one kiss in and I knew it would be more than stupidly good sex between us.

It was like someone had opened the floodgates. Not giving her a chance to say anything, my mouth smashed back down, capturing her lips again. And this time her arms went around my neck, her fingers grasping at the back of my head to keep my head down against hers. Like she was afraid I was going to stop.

She needn’t have worried. I wasn't going anywhere. As long as she was eager and willing, I would kiss her forever.

Kissing from her mouth across her jawline, I felt her shiver under me. Each breath she took, took mine away. It was like she sucked all the air from my lungs. My head felt light, I was so consumed by her. Licking a long, wet trail down from her jawline to the swell of her breasts, I felt her freeze under me.

Something had just shifted; I could smell it in the air. Fear. Fear mixed in with her hot arousal. Pushing myself up on my elbows, I searched her face.

“What just happened?”

Briella didn't let go of her grip on the back of my head, trying to pull me down for another kiss. I shook my head. Recapturing her arms, I pinned them on either side of her.

“No, Briella, tell me what just happened?”

“It's nothing.” She pouted. “Please don't stop.”

I wasn't going to stop until she told me to, but I did need to know what the hell had just happened to make her freeze up under me.

“This can’t go any further unless you tell me what I did wrong.” I couldn't think of anything worse than crossing an unknown boundary with her and scaring her away. She had told me that the asshole Acco hadn't raped her. But I could remember vividly the way he pawed at her at the auction. The note of ownership he had when he cupped her breast in his sleazeball hand. He might not have raped her, but he had done something to her. And I had triggered it somehow. She had thought about him when her mind should have been firmly on me.

“You didn’t do anything wrong.”

I didn't believe her; it was pretty clear that I had.

“Honestly, Tommy, it’s nothing.”

I growled at her before I could stop myself. Her eyes widened in shock and then closed. I watched as the emotions warred across her face. She was debating how much she should tell me.

When her eyes finally opened, I could see the decision in them.

“He took me from the cell with the others, Tommy.” Her voice was a whisper, laced with pain and disgust. What she had to be disgusted about I didn't know. None of what had happened to her was her fault. I wanted to tell her that but knew she had to get this out. I had to let her talk.

Bringing my lips to hers, I kissed her once, drawing away before she could deepen it.

“He cleaned me.” She carried on, turning her head to the side so she didn't have to meet my eyes as I waited for her to carry on. “But he didn't use water, that...would have been bad enough.” Her words stuttered. “He...he used his tongue, Tommy, he licked me clean. Almost every inch of me.”

Rage engulfed me, white-hot until it took over my vision and all I could see was red. He had licked her. Licked her beautiful body like she was somehow his? The urge to kill him was almost too much, but somehow, I managed to swallow it down. Flying into a fit of rage wouldn't do Briella any good. All it would do was frighten her more.

“I’m sorry, Briella,” I managed. Using my fingers and being as gentle as I could be, I turned her face back so I could meet her eyes. “I am sorry that happened to you. I’m so sorry.”

“I don't want to stop,” she quickly interjected. “I… I need you.”

Smiling slowly, I pressed my lips to the tip of her nose. “I'm not going anywhere, beautiful. I just got mad for a second. Not at you.” I corrected quickly, seeing the look on her face. “But because I wasn't there to protect you. Nothing like that will ever happen to you again, Briella. I swear it.”

“You don't find me disgusting?”
