“Sit.”Sliding the two full plates onto the table, I pulled Briella firmly onto my lap and not the spare seat that was available to her. Raze raised his eyebrows but didn't say a word as he continued to shovel food into his mouth.
“Tommy...” She squirmed and my arm tightened around her, keeping her in place. She might have felt uncomfortable sitting like that, but I needed to send a clear message to every person in the room if the scent of my cum on her skin wasn't enough.
Briella was my woman.
She might not wear my teeth marks on her neck, or my property patch against her breast, but it was only a matter of time.
“Eat.” I prompted her, tapping my fingers against her plate. My eyes never left Raze’s.
“Do you have something to say, brother?” I finally asked.
Raze flicked his eyes in my direction. “Nothing that can't wait, brother.” He stressed the word and on my lap, Briella winced.
“So, Briella, are you looking forward to going home to your life?” Purposely he turned his attention from me, directing it at her. “When it's safe of course,” he added.
I scowled. “She won’t be going home until Leviathan says…” And not even then I wanted to say but Raze stopped me.
“Oh, he’s said. I made a few calls late last night. Leviathan said we can let her go.”
“You spoke to Leviathan?”
He shook his head. “I spoke to some of his people anyway. He wants Briella to go back to her life. Hey, what’s the face for? At least he doesn't plan on using her for his own plaything.” He chuckled darkly.
Under the table my fist clenched.
“Plaything?” Briella squeaked.
“I think I need to get you back to the room, beautiful, so me and Raze can have a little chat in private.”
She didn't move. “Tommy, explain what he means about plaything?”
“It’s nothing.” I shook my head, still glaring at Raze. I didn't understand what he was up to when he knew what she meant to me.
“Were you planning on selling me, Tommy?”
Her words drew my eyes back down to hers. “No, fuck, of course not Briella. It's not like that.” I reached for her and she shied away.
Across the table Raze leant back with a self-satisfied smile on his face. The son of a bitch had done it on purpose. I didn't know why. I didn’t really care why.
“Tommy doesn't buy and sell women, Briella. It's just our leader wanted you saved and none of us knew why. The common consensus was that he had his eyes on you. Luckily for Tommy, that isn't the case. Otherwise, heads would start rolling. Means you two can fuck like bunnies until it’s time for you to go home.”
“Shut the fuck up, Raze, now,” I growled out a warning.
“I think I’m going to go back to Tommy's room now,” Briella said after a second of silence.
“Ok.” My hands slipped from her. I wanted to go with her but there was something I needed to sort out here first. “Take your food with you and I will be there in a few minutes.”
I met Raze's eyes across the table. Yeah, there was something I needed to sort out. Namely why my VP had just thrown me under the fucking bus.
