“I’m clean as well.” She chewed on her bottom lip. Obviously, something was still tormenting her.

“What is going on in that pretty little head of yours, Laura?” I urged. “Talk to me.”

“What about an unwanted pregnancy, Oz? I need to find a pharmacy.”

I cut her off. “What about it, Laura?” Brushing my fingers down her stomach, I grinned. “I would love to have put a pu…uh, baby in your belly already.” Even thinking about it made me happy.

“Are you crazy? You probably have a hundred baby mamas out there already. I can’t have a kid. I can barely look after myself.”

She was freaking herself out. “I don’t have any baby mamas out there at all, Laura,” I dropped my voice to a snarl. It hurt that she thought that of me.

“You can’t possibly know that.”

“Yes, I can. I have always used protection, Laura, always. There are no babies, no girlfriends. There’s just you,” I soothed her, or at least I hoped my words soothed her.

“But you didn’t use anything with me.”

Lifting myself up, I stared down at her. “I never want anything to come between us, Laura. Not even a condom. And if I have put a baby in you, then we will deal with it, together.”
