The scent of sex soaked Daryl’s every inhale, heart racing as he shoved his boxers down to his thighs.

Sucking Jason had him close to the edge, the taste lingering on his tongue and keeping him there.

Cock in hand, he gripped Jason’s neck and drew him in for a kiss.

“Let me,” Jason mumbled against his lips, hand already closing over Daryl’s, but Daryl was there, no help required.

Burying his head in the crook of Jason’s neck, he came with a strangled groan, painting Jason’s belly for the second time, just as someone rang their buzzer.

They both glanced over at the door.

Jason let his head fall back against the wall with a huff of laughter. “I guess we weren’t quick enough.”

Daryl stepped back and tucked himself away, wiping his hand on his jeans. “Oh, I don’t know.

I’d say that was perfect timing.” He strode towards the door, giving Jason just enough time to grab a towel out of the bathroom before opening it wide.

Nathan stood on the other side holding a huge tray. The smells coming off it were wonderful, but they weren’t quite strong enough to mask what had just happened in their room.

Daryl watched in amusement as the scent registered with Nathan and his eyebrows rose.

“Rachel wasn’t kidding then.” He spared Jason a quick glance, then held the tray out for Daryl to take. “No wonder she made me bring all this lot up.” As soon as Daryl had the tray, Nathan backed up with a grin. “Have fun.”

Daryl shut the door on him before he could say anything else. Though as reactions went, he’d take it. The delicious smells wafting out from under the tray were too distracting to dwell on it further, and Daryl hurriedly set it down on Jason’s bed, then lifted the lid.

Wow. He’d have to remember to thank whoever was on kitchen duty for this.

They had water, cans of soft drinks, crisps, chocolate, and nuts to use for snacks later, but also on the tray were two lots of burgers and chips, a plate of loaded nachos, and fully loaded potato skins too. Two bowls of sour cream and guacamole sat on the side.

“I don’t know where to start first.” Jason’s eyes were as wide as saucers as he stared at the contents of the tray.

Daryl picked up one of the burgers, suddenly ravenous, and smiled when Jason copied him.

“Cheers.”

They clinked buns and tucked in.

“WHO DO YOU think they’ll take, and when?” Jason kicked his trainers off just inside the door of their room.

Daryl followed after him, peeling his sweaty T-shirt over his head. After their twenty-four-hour stint behind closed doors was over, they’d both been making the most of the fresh air. Apparently they both liked to run. Daryl liked it for the solitude, but after some persuasion from Jason—in the form of a very relaxing massage—he’d agreed they could go together.

After this latest run, Rachel had met them at the door with another set of instructions.

“Did you read it all?” He kicked off his own trainers and headed towards the bathroom. “I only caught the top bit before Jenn cornered me.” Leaning on the door in just his running shorts, Daryl waited for Jason to look up.

“Yeah. I read it all.” As he shoved his thumbs into the waistband of his shorts, ready to pull them down, he paused. “You showering first?”

Daryl let his gaze wander over Jason’s shoulders and down over his chest. Their arrangement wasn’t anything like Daryl had imagined. There was no awkwardness between them, no uncertainty about when they should be having sex and when was off limits. Daryl liked lying on his bed chatting almost as much as having Jason’s cock in his mouth.

Apart from the odd conflicted expression he caught sometimes, Jason was laid back, easy-going.

Sunshine and happiness.

Daryl relaxed around him in a way he rarely did around anyone who wasn’t Cam or Alec.

He felt safe with Jason. Safe to be himself. And that, Daryl had come to realise, was a rare thing where he was concerned.

And it was something he wanted to keep hold of when they got back home.
