Henry took one last look at the zipwire, then reached for Dom’s hand again. Dom looked down at his feet to hide his smile. He didn’t want to make a big deal out of something Henry seemed to have done without thinking.
They got the odd look as they walked around the lake, but most people were either too busy doing their own thing or didn’t care enough to react. Dom couldn’t give a flying fuck what people thought, and he didn’t let go of Henry’s hand until he absolutely had to.

The indoor sportsarea was huge.
After booking his slot for the aerial walkway, he gave Henry a tour of everything it had to offer. From the climbing wall to badminton, tennis courts, and finally the rows of snooker and pool tables.
“Anything take your fancy?” Dom spread his arms out, encompassing everything behind them. He was active by nature, and although he’d meant it when he said he’d be happy to go along with whatever Henry did or didn’t want to do, he really hoped he’d be up for a few games.
Henry shoved his hands in the pockets of his jeans and rocked back on his heels. “Yeah. There’s one or two things I wouldn’t mind doing.”
“Such as?”
“I’ve not played since school, but I wouldn’t mind a go at badminton or tennis.”
“We can do both,” Dom blurted, making Henry laugh.
He gestured to what he had on. “I’m not dressed for it at the minute, but we can book something for later in the week if you want?”
“Okay.” Dom started walking towards the information desks, keen to get it booked before Henry changed his mind.
“Oh, and pool. We could play that now.”
Dom glanced over his shoulder at him. “You any good?”
Henry shrugged. “I’m not bad.”

Not badturnedout to be a gross understatement. Dom liked to think he was quite good at both snooker and pool, but Henry wiped the floor with him. Three games in a row.
“Fuck’s sake,” he grumbled as he watched the white ball disappear into the hole after his striped one.
Henry laughed, head thrown back, and Dom couldn’t help but join in.
“So you lied when I asked if you were any good.”
Henry smirked. “I didn’t lie, exactly.”
“You said, and I quote, ‘I’m not bad.’” Dom gestured to the table where he had five balls left to Henry’s one. “This will make four games in a row that you’ve beaten me.”
“Damn, we should’ve made a bet.”
The mischief in Henry’s expression had Dom instantly intrigued. “What sort of bet?”
“One I probably shouldn’t say out loud in present company.” He nodded to the tables either side of them, then pulled out his phone.
Dom watched, heart rate steadily increasing as he waited for Henry to finish typing. When his own phone buzzed, Dom almost dropped it in his haste to get it out of his pocket.
Henry:Whoever wins the next game gets to pick what we do tonight.
Dom:Do? As in?
Henry:As in gets to pick our activities from 6pm-midnight . ;)
Oh.
