Dom thrust into him, the sight of his come-covered stomach enough to tip him over the edge, and he clutched Henry tight as his orgasm hit.

They clung to each other, harsh breaths the only sound as they slowly came down.

Dom stayed like that as long as he could, wrapped up in Henry’s embrace until he was forced to deal with the condom and clean them both up a bit.

Once back under the quilt, he drew Henry towards him, and cuddled him close.

Neither of them was leaving right away in the morning. They had the walkway and the zipwire still to do in the afternoon, but as Henry leant in and gave him a soft kiss goodnight, it felt like their goodbye all the same.

Changeover days were always chaotic, and that Friday was no exception. Having to be out by ten, Dom left Henry’s villa just after eight with a quick kiss goodbye and a promise to meet him outside the entrance at the main dome area.

It felt like déjà vu as Dom walked up the path with everyone else leaving that day and saw Henry waiting for him. Who knew that his random act of kindness would lead to this?

Taking pity on a bemused-looking Henry a week ago had been one of the best decisions he’d ever made.

Regardless of what happened after they left.

And Dom fully believed that. He may or may not see Henry again, but the last seven days had been wonderful, and he wouldn’t change that for anything.

“Hey,” he said as he reached him. “Want to walk down to the lake and get a coffee?”

Henry smirked. “I feel like we’ve done this before.”

“I was just thinking the same thing.”

They stood there smiling at each other like idiots until Dom shook his head and gently steered Henry towards the path. “We’ve got some time to kill before our walkway slot.”

Henry winced. “How could I forget.”

“Hey,” Dom said, taking Henry’s hand. “You don’t have to do it, you know.”

“I do.” Henry grimaced, looking up at the tall trees surrounding the lake. Then he gave a self-deprecating laugh. “I’m just a bit scared. Ridiculous, right? Kids as young as eight do it, for fuck’s sake.”

Guilt seeped in as Dom wondered if this was his fault. He’d banged on about the fucking zipwire enough times over the past few days. Had Henry felt pressured to do something that obviously terrified him? “Look, why don’t we try the sauna instead. I’m sure they’ve got a couple of spaces for this afternoon.”

Henry stared at him, mouth open. “But we’ve paid. Well, you have. I still owe you for that.”

Dom waved him away. “I’m not bothered about the money. I don’t want to do something that clearly terrifies you when we could be relaxing in a nice hot sauna without a zipwire in sight.” Yeah, he’d been looking forward to it, but not if it meant Henry was going to be scared shitless. There was no fun in that.

Henry’s smile started off small as he focused on his boots, gradually getting bigger until he was beaming by the time he met Dom’s gaze. “Thank you.”

Dom smiled in return, happy to see the tension in Henry’s eyes ease a little. “You’re welcome. Now let’s go see if we can book that sauna.” He stopped and frowned. “Then we’ll have to nip back to the car park because I left my swimming—”

“We won’t.”

“Erm...” Dom held out his hands, showing Henry he had nothing on him but his keys, wallet, and phone. “We will if we want to go in the sauna. Pretty sure nakedness is frowned upon.”

Henry laughed loudly, scaring a few nearby birds into flight. “We don’t need swimming gear because we’re still doing the high-as-fuck walkway thing.”

Now Dom was totally confused. “But I thought...?”

Henry stepped closer, linking his fingers with Dom’s. “Thank you for thinking of me enough to give up something I know you’ve been looking forward to all week. But I’m going to do it. With you.”

“Aren’t you scared?”

“Terrified.” He squeezed Dom’s fingers. “But also weirdly excited. Does that make sense?”
