Melanie was desperate to believe her.
You should also know that I overheard somepeople talking a few days ago. One of the main reasons Kyle isstill alive is because they can’t figure out why he can toleratethe sun.

The next day, Melaniesat in her room and stared at her door as the seconds dragged past.She glanced at the clock on her nightstand. Lucy had told her towait fifteen minutes after she left. It felt like two hours hadpassed since then, but it was only ten minutes.
When the numbers finally clicked over, it wastime to go.What if this goes wrong?
