A smile spread across Ethan’s face. That was a quick change of subject. He would allow it this time, but he vowed to find out who she was later.

They placed their orders and found a table near the window.

“Are you looking forward to the hike today?” Ethan asked.

Lily shrugged. “I suppose. I’m not much of a hiker, but it’s a good way to get out and try new things.”

The barista brought their drinks and sandwiches over to them before walking away. Lily picked up her mug and took a sip of her cappuccino.

“Oh my. That’s good.”

“Beats the heck out of the resort coffee, huh?”

“Definitely. No offense, but do they deliver? I’ll take one of these every day delivered to my door.”

He chuckled. “Nope. Sorry.”

She looked at him over the rim of her mug. “Maybe you should see about adding that service. I’m sure the guests would appreciate it.”

“The coffeehouse is only a block away.”

She shrugged. “Even better. It’s not that inconvenient for you, but you’d make a killing.”

He stared at her for a moment. She wasn’t wrong, but that would just add on another task for someone to do and they were already short-staffed.

“I’ll take it into consideration.”

“Please do so sooner rather than later, so I can benefit.”

He smiled. “Will do.”
