Her eyes flickered between his. It would only take one of them closing the short distance for their lips to connect, and damn, she wanted it badly.

“I want to kiss you,” he said.

She licked her lips. “I want you to kiss me.”

“For research?” Amusement laced his words.

She nodded immediately and then stopped and shook her head. “No. Not for research this time.”

She imagined this to be the part where his eyes darkened and he gripped her waist and kissed her passionately. But something even better happened. His hands tightened around her and tugged her harder against him. His erection pressed to her center, and she almost cried out. Then his lips connected with hers.

Like a magnet, they moved together in unison, not breaking contact. Need continued to pool inside her, and she rubbed her center against him. He groaned into her mouth, and his hands gripped her hips, helping her glide along his length through their swimsuits.

It was like she was a horny teenager, trying to get off on this man from a simple touch. But she had never felt something like this before. Even with Scott, things had died out between them. They stopped being intimate and even when they had been in the beginning; it wasn’t like this. It wasn’t electric.

She moaned into his mouth, which made him grip her tighter. She was so close. Only another minute and she would come.

“Ethan,” she breathed. “I’m going to?—”

She couldn’t even finish before white-hot heat spread through her body. She moaned and tightened her ankles behind his back as she rode out her pleasure.

“That’s it, baby. Ride it out.”

When she came down, she rested her head against the side of his. Her body was limp, and it took all her effort to continue holding onto him. She hardly registered them moving until a blast of cold air hit her as he stepped out of the water with her still wrapped around him.

“I’m going to set you down,” he said.

She nodded and was thankful her legs didn’t give out when he set her on her unsteady feet. That was… incredible. Without even having sex, she had the most powerful orgasm of her life.

He wrapped a towel around her shoulders before wrapping one around his own. Then he stepped closer and rubbed his hands up and down her arms.

“I didn’t get you off,” she said, the haze lifting long enough for her to realize he was still hard.

“It’s okay. That wasn’t a goal of mine.”

She pressed her head against his chest. “And what was the goal?”

“To help you have the best camping experience of your life.”

She leaned back and looked up into his eyes. “Mission accomplished.”
