Rowyn rocked against her mouth, taking what she needed and giving Eliza more than she ever wanted before.
“Turning it up now, baby,” Rowyn said.
The pressure increased as Rowyn slipped the vibrator in and out of Eliza easily while increasing the speed. Rowyn’s moans as she rocked faster against Eliza’s mouth were driving Eliza wild.
Eliza’s body went rigid, and she clenched around the toy as stars burst behind her eyes. Her screams were muffled against Rowyn’s core as Rowyn moved faster and harder before stilling against her with her own cries. Both of their bodies went limp as Rowyn slid the toy from Eliza and placed it on the towel she had brought in earlier.
“Come here,” Eliza said.
Rowyn turned and moved up her body, wrapping every limb together as she settled against Eliza.
“Are you okay?” Eliza asked.
She moved her hand to stroke Rowyn’s hair softly. Eliza had a feeling the energy Rowyn had spent being in control had now ebbed away. She wanted to make sure Rowyn was taken care of too.
“Mm-hmm. More than. Are you? How does it feel?”
Eliza kissed the top of Rowyn’s head lightly.
“I’m more than okay too. How does what feel?”
Rowyn pulled the blanket they had tossed aside earlier on top of them and cuddled in closer.
“Letting me take control. Surrendering.”
Eliza was quiet for a moment as she tried to find the words to sum it all up. How could she explain that it was like everything and nothing all at once? Like her mind was empty and her body so full. Like for the first time in her life, she could rest.
“It feels like finding something you never knew was missing.”
It was too much. It wasn’t nearly enough. It was too soon and far too late. Eliza braced herself, but Rowyn’s soft hum was the only response. She didn’t pull away or ask for more explanation. She simply kissed Eliza lightly, cuddled closer, and closed her eyes to sleep.
Eliza lay there as Rowyn’s soft snores filled the silence and blinked up at the ceiling, thinking about everything she hadn’t said.
It feels like coming home. It feels like happiness. It feels like I’ve discovered a world that I never knew existed.
Rowyn mumbled something in her sleep and wrapped her leg tighter around Eliza. Eliza’s brain calmed again enough for her eyes to begin to droop, and she succumbed to the most peaceful sleep of her adult life.
Eliza’s eyes fluttered open and it took her a minute to remember what the unfamiliar weight wrapped around her body was. Memories of the night before flooded back as she glanced down at a still sleeping Rowyn curled against her.
It looked as if neither of them had moved an inch since falling asleep. Eliza was shocked when she glanced over to the clocklighting up to let her know that it was already past eight. She hadn’t slept past eight in longer than she could remember. Even on the weeks she didn’t have the kids here, her internal clock woke her up before their usual wake time every morning, and she used the extra time to work.
Her brain warred between needing to get a jump start on work to make up for the night before and not wanting to disturb Rowyn or lose the bubble they had created.
“NowIcan almost hearyourthoughts,” Rowyn said sleepily.
Eliza chuckled as Rowyn moved back to look at her. Eliza immediately missed the full body contact and restrained herself from pulling Rowyn back in.
“It’s the light of day, isn’t it?” Rowyn said.
It was, but Rowyn was asking about far more than the sun’s journey in the sky. Eliza wanted to provide her with the reassurance she clearly needed, but she was unsure how.
“Yes,” Eliza said finally.
She leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Rowyn’s lips. Actions spoke louder than words, right? When she pulled back, Rowyn’s face was a mix of surprised and weary.
“Was that a final we can never do this again kiss?” Rowyn asked.
“You know, for someone so perky you’re quite cynical,” Eliza joked.
