5) Did Alistair deliberately sabotage his chances with Sophia during the therapy episode?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: In Episode 6, celebrity therapist Sasha Pierce visited the cast of CUPID CALLING to perform a surprise therapy session. The men were obviously blindsided by this, and Alistair took the situation worse than the rest of the men, cracking jokes and refusing to cooperate with either Sophia or Sasha during the session. This frustrated the bachelorette and led to her eliminating him on the spot.

During the live show, Alistair admitted to not being ready at the time to “air his demons”, so to speak. Did he handle the situation badly? Sure. But he stated that while he did regret that he couldn’t have taken his relationship with Sophia further, he ultimately does not regret the way he reacted.

4) Did Sophia and Chris Wu know each other before the show aired?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Right from Episode 1, fans have been wondering if Sophia and the sexy, charismatic Chinese-British contestant Chris Wu knew each other before the filming of CUPID CALLING. So, when Sophia appeared at some point during the live show as a surprise to the bachelors and the audience, a member from the audience didn’t hesitate to ask for some clarification.

It turns out that yes, Sophia and Chris Wu did in fact know each other from before; they’d apparently attended the same college for their A levels. They were casual friends—or acquaintances, at best—as when they eventually graduated and went their separate ways, they did not keep in touch until they met again at CUPID CALLING.

What are the chances, eh?

3) Is the tattoo Noah gave Sophia actually real?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: In Episode 4, when two times Red Heart winner, tattoo artist, and gorgeous heartthrob Noah took Sophia on a swoony romantic date on his bike, Sophia admired his tattoos and admitted to always wanting one herself. So, what was a tattoo artist to do but offer to design one for her on the spot? I know, right?

A few fans felt this slick move was a stunt orchestrated by the production team, but Sophia put all those doubts to rest during the live show. Once posed with the question, our savvy bachelorette did not hesitate to bare her thigh where, yup, Noah’s handiwork lay plain for all to see. Not a stunt at all.

2) Is Jin really royalty?

Short answer: Yes (and no).

Long answer: From his precise mannerisms, to his impeccable wardrobe and his delectable accent, the contestants, the fans, and even the bachelorette herself constantly questioned throughout the show if Seokjin Shin could actually be royalty.

Sophia finally put our theories to rest during the live show, admitting that yes, Jin had privately informed her that he is apparently the adopted son of Lord Ratliffe, A.K.A. the grandson of the Duke of Castlefield. You heard that right, Jin is the adopted great-grandson OF A DUKE.

As an adopted child, and with him not being the heir apparent to Lord Ratliffe, Jin does not and will not bear an official title, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t seen and treated with the respect his adopted lineage brings. How absolutely dreamy is that? Sophia is one lucky woman!

1) Is Ejiro the bachelor Obiora is in love with?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Finally, the question we’ve all been waiting for! Out of all the questions on this list, this one generated the most buzz online, trending numerous times, and even bringing in an entire new legion of (mostly LGBTQ+) fans desperate for representation to watch the show.

During the live show—and in a moment that seems completely off script—when Obiora Anozie was posed with the question about the identity of the man who stole his heart, Obiora immediately looked to—you guessed it—Ejiro Odavwaro, seemingly for confirmation. Ejiro then took his hand, and declared to the entire world on live TV and to the delight of both Ameri and the audience, that yes, he is the bachelor in question, and yes, he and Obiora are now in a committed relationship.

Ejiro discovered his sexuality while filming (he is biromantic and demisexual), and Obiora’s support and friendship during the filming soon turned the former’s feelings from platonic to romantic.

And that’s all for now, folks! What questions or theories did you have that you feel the cast didn’t answer or address? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Next week, the long awaited finale of CUPID CALLING will air exclusively on Netflicks.

Who do you think will win Sophia’s heart: Chris Wu or Seokjin Shin?

EPILOGUE

IT WAS ONE OF THOSE mornings, where Obiora woke up and couldn’t believe this was his life. Contentment stretched warm and sweet in his chest like a newborn kitten. As he stared at the unfamiliar wooden canopy of the bed above him, it took him a moment to remember that he and Ejiro weren’t in their flat in Sheffield, but in a quaint little hotel in Strafford, in preparation to go for their hot air balloon date. The thought of it immediately made Obiora’s breath speed up and his heartbeat start racing.

Ejiro was curled up in his arms, cheek on his chest. His hand was gently stroking a path up and down Obiora’s side, the movement being the thing that had slowly brought Obiora awake.

When Ejiro noticed Obiora was awake, he looked up, a small smile on his face.
