“This is Amina, Diamond’s sister,” I introduced her, and Amina stuck her hand out for my wife to shake.

“And your ex-girlfriend,” Jazzlyn let out, instantly causing the small smile on Amina’s face to shatter.

How the fuck did she figure that out?We never really spoke on the people we used to fuck with before we met, so I knew for a fact that I never mentioned it to her. It was probably Taylor’s nosy, messy ass. You could always count on her to play detective.

Jazzlyn shook Amina’s hand nonetheless and kept her gorgeous and inviting smile on her face. I could tell Amina was uncomfortable as fuck. She couldn’t even look my wife in her eyes. “So nice to meet you. You and Ahkeem have a beautiful home and family.”

“Thank you. Let us know if you need anything.” My baby had her commercial voice on, so I knew she really had words for Amina that weren’t so polite, but she was suppressing them.

It was awkward as fuck on the terrace.

Amina shot her a tight-lipped smile. “Thank you. I’m gonna head inside to find Diamond.”

Jazzlyn and I nodded as we watched her slip through the sliding door. Now that it was just us on the terrace, Jazzlyn turned around in my arms, shooting daggers at me with her eyes. She cupped my face in her hands, steering my head down so she could speak closely in my ear.

“Get this bitch out my fucking house before I end up throwing you and her off this fucking terrace,” she threatened in a light voice, not finding the need to yell.

I bit down on my bottom lip. I knew she would make good on her promise if Amina wasn’t out our fucking house in the next five minutes. As crazy as she was, I found that shit sexy as fuck.

“I got you.”

She brushed my hands from her waist and sashayed in front of me. I followed her like a puppy dog, drooling at her physique in the red dress she had on. I couldn’t help myself and slapped her ass. We entered the penthouse, and I did exactly what my wife requested of me. Amina and Diamond were the first to dip before everyone else trickled out behind them.

“Don’t let that bitch get you into trouble, Ahk. Like I told you before we signed the papers, there’s only one way out this marriage.” She held her fingers up to the side of my head like a gun.

My wife was fucking crazy…. but I loved that shit.

Chapter Eleven

AHKEEM

With sunflowers in hand,I bopped toward J’Ru and dapped him up.

“Yeah, nigga. My mama gone like these.” He ran his fingers through his beard before snatching the flowers out my hand.

“Nigga, they from me.” I snatched the flowers back.

“She barely know your ass.” He snatched the flowers from my hand again before leading the way inside the facility. I laughed with a shake of my head as I followed him. Just like he told me over the phone, he didn’t have to go through any security measures. He chopped it up with the chick at the front desk and flirted with her just enough to get Silas’ brother Anthony’s room number.

“Aja gone kick your ass,” I laughed.

J’Ru smacked his lips before shrugging his shoulders. “Shorty ain’t even on my wife level. I’m just doing your ass a favor.”

We made it to his mother’s room first, and I dapped him up before he slipped inside with the flowers I bought her. I continued to stride throughout the building and took the elevator to the third floor. No one paid me any mind before I slipped right into little Anthony’s room.

The lights were dim, and as I took a look around, I could tell they tried to make it feel as at home as they possibly could. Pictures of Anthony and various family members covered the wall. I even caught a few of him and his big brother, Silas.

After his accident, Anthony became a quadriplegic. From the information I obtained, the crash impacted his spine just enough to fuck with his speech too. At just 27, his whole life came to a screeching halt, and now he was bed bound with a fucking diaper on. The human in me pitied the motherfucka just for a little bit. He was now frail and looked so defeated as he slept.

I turned the dial for the lights, brightening the room up. He must’ve been a light sleeper because his eyes opened immediately. I stood over his bed with a Cheshire Cat grin on my face.

“What’s up, son?” I ruffled my hand through his hair like he was Saphir.

Confusion laced his face as he looked at me. He couldn’t do or say shit. I wasn’t gonna hurt him. It would’ve been too easy to get caught if I had done so. I just wanted to send a message.

J’Ru told me that each patient’s room had a live stream camera that allowed the family to monitor their loved ones. My eyes scanned the room and found the camera hooked up in the corner of the room.

“Your brother a bitch. You know that?”
