He kissed her again as he positioned himself at her entrance, the head of his cock sliding through her folds to reach her opening. They both groaned at the sensation.

“Look at me,” he commanded softly. “I’ve got you.”

Their gazes locked as he pressed forward slowly. Diana’s breath hitched, her body tensing at the intrusion.

“Just breathe,” he whispered, stilling with just the tip inside. “Tell me if it’s too much.”

He meant what he said, that he would stop if she commanded. But he prayed that she wouldn’t. Because he was going to go mad if he couldn’t be inside of her.

“Don’t stop,” she gasped, her nails digging into his shoulders. “Please don’t stop.”

Graham pressed forward inch by torturous inch, sweat beading on his forehead from the effort of going slow when all he wanted to do was bury himself to the hilt inside of his wife. She was so tight, so hot, gripping him and pulling him inside. When he was halfway in, Diana instinctively wrapped her legs around his waist and his entire length had entered her in one swift motion.

She twinged and her face contorted for a moment. Then her eyelids grew heavy as her legs tightened around him. Graham’s arms trembled as he held himself still, giving her time to adjust.

“Are you all right?” he asked her, placing kisses at the corner of her lips.

“Yes,” she panted.

He withdrew slowly, then thrust back in, setting a slow rhythm. Nothing had ever felt so wonderful, and perfect. And now that he’d experienced it, he’d never be able to be without her.

“You are mine,” he ground out, increasing the speed of his thrusts.

She nodded and moaned, eyes clenched shut and pushed her body against him to meet him when he entered her.

Graham supported himself with one arm and cupped her cheek with his other hand while he continued the rhythm that he set. “Look at me.”

She opened her eyes and he saw everything he could have ever hoped for there.

“Say you are mine,” he commanded.

“I’m yours.” She released a steady stream of moans. “I’m all yours.”

Graham lost what remained of his control. He hitched her leg higher over his hip, changing the angle, and drove into her with increasing force. Diana’s cries grew louder, her nails raking down his back.

“Yes,” she cried.

He could feel her beginning to tighten around him. Determined to bring her over the edge once more before he lost himself, he slipped his hand between them, his thumb finding her sensitive nub.

“Come for me,” he growled against her ear.

Diana’s back arched and she clamped down on him as she came with a scream. The feeling of her pulsing around him made Graham unable to fight his own release. He pushed himself all the way in, spilling everything he had deep inside her, whispering her name over and over.

Graham collapsed beside her on the bed, pulling Diana against him as they both struggled to catch their breath.

He removed himself from the bed and grabbed a cloth and wet it in the wash basin. Then he used the damp cloth to clean between her legs, then used the cloth on himself.

He tossed the cloth aside and then climbed back into bed with her. She nestled against him as if it were the most natural thing in the world. As if it was the way they would be for all of time. Diana’s head rested on his chest, her fingers tracing patterns on his skin.

“Was it… was I…?” Graham couldn’t finish the question.

Diana lifted her head to look at him. “It was perfect. You were perfect.”

Relief flooded through him. “You were extraordinary.”

She smiled, that dimpled smile that made his heart race. As she settled back against him, Graham stared at the ceiling, his guilt warring with an overwhelming flood of emotion for the woman in his arms.

“Graham?” Diana’s voice was drowsy. “What are you thinking about?”

“You,” he said, which was true. “Just you.”

She hummed contentedly, pressing a kiss to his chest. “I think I’m going to like being married to you.”

And he had a feeling he was going to love being married to her. Emphasis on love. He was quite certain she already held his heart in her hand. “Diana—”

But her breathing had already evened out in sleep. Graham held her closer, vowing silently that he would fix everything, and once he did, he’d tell her how he felt. That he was quite certain that regardlessof the circumstances that resulted in their marriage. That he was utterly and completely in love with his wife.

But he had to protect her first by dealing with Rothwell. And the sooner the better.
