Chapter Three

“Who is this Ty Regisguy?”Chase asked.

“He’s known as a badass businessman, one without a heart.Has a few million. He’s 45 and Rosie is only seventeen.”Char looked angry.“His mode of operandi is disgusting too.He finds a small business, usually a mom and pop’s that has something he wants and he forces them to sell their hard-earned business to him. When they have no other choice he undercuts them then he dismisses their staff and moves the business to his own team.He just fires the workers, takes the money from their pensions and closes the doors.Breaking his word to the past owners and then he laughs in their faces, telling them they can’t do anything. He’s an asshole in the truest sense.”

Kelly smiled coldly then got to her feet.“We will reduce this fat fucker to the sniveling little boy he really is underneath.”She looked down at Char and asked, “You got an extra bat?”

Char grinned at her.“You know it, sister.”

Kelly smiled but the light in her eyes meant something different this time.A determination glinted there and everyone in the group knew this look meant someone was gonna feel some pain.

Comanche felt something shiver inside him and it felt like a ghost walking over his soul.

Kelly looked at the men and said, “Let’s ruin this Regis guys’ life, boys.”

Char got up and moved toward her truck. She drove away and the bikers followed her. They left downtown and rode to the influential part of town. They quietly parked along the driveway to a mini mansion. Her truck was partially hidden in the brush not too far from the actual driveway and the bikes parked behind her.

Kelly came up beside the driver’s door. She looked up and studied the mansion then the yard and shook her head.“He likes to live big, doesn’t he?”

Char snorted.“It's all for show.Smoke and mirrors really.Yeah, he’s got money and people are afraid to get on his bad side, but he’s a lowlife motherfucker all the same. He’s also got a reputation of wining and dining many women that he treats like shit behind closed doors.Even while he’s supposed to be married to Rosie. And he does it out in the open.”

Kelly took that information in and growled under her breath. Then she turned to Char and said, “Well, let’s go teach this guy some manners, what do you say?”

Char didn’t say anything, she just reached below her seat and grabbed two well-used bats from underneath. She turned to Kelly and smiled.“You want Pinky or Posey?”

Kelly’s eyes filled with tears.“You kept them? All these years?I mean I knew you’d have a couple of bats but these?”

“When I got away from the fat slob.I went back home.I had nowhere else to go.I wasn’t going back to my grandmother’s house that was for damn sure. Our neighbor Winny...You remember her...Well, she packed up some of our things after Mom died and stored them. She said she did it as she prayed we girls would come back someday. So, yes, I still have photos, keepsakes and some of my mom’s paintings.Along with Pinky and Poesy.I knew I’d need a plan to rescue Rosie but I figured I had time, you know? But before I could do that I had to make sure I was safe and had a place to bring her to when I did go to get her.I found a place there just outside of town.I also had to know more about the situation with Olivia and Victor. So, I began to research them.I figured they would keep her for longer than they did. She’s only seventeen.”

Kelly reached out and patted her arm.“We’re here now and we’ll get her justice. That’s why I asked my husband to look into your grandmother and your uncle and if I know Shay, he’s already started.”

Char stared at her and asked.“What can your husband do?”

Kelly smiled.“Dang, he can do so much and he’s got friends that can rip them out of their ivory tower and throw them to the wolves.”

Char looked back at the house and whispered, “That might be a start but it will never be enough.”

Kelly patted her arm again and said, “One step at a time sister, one step at a time.”Then she put the bat to her shoulder and asked, “So how do we get in?”

Char took them through the woods to a small break in the fenceline.

Comanche, Chase and Crusher each had a small bag with them as they all followed.

Char paused then pointed at the dark mansion beyond.“That’s where I’ve seen Rosie.Sometimes she stands at the window and just stares out into the yard. She looks broken, and sometimes her whole face is bruised. She stands there sometimes all hunched over like her whole body is hurting.”

Comanche paused to ask, “Have you been inside the house before tonight?”

Char nodded.“I needed to know the layout. They didn’t know I was even here.”

“How do we get inside?”Crusher asked in a whisper.

Char looked up at him.“There’s a door that leads to the basement.I blocked the lock in case I needed a way inside. It’s a door that is seldom used. So, I’m hoping no one has noticed it yet.”

“How many staff does he have?”Chase asked.
