She looks up at me through her lashes. "Isabella has had her fair share of problems. If you ever need me, I'll be right here." She flutters her eyelashes, giving me a sheepish smile as if she's an innocent virgin.

She turns her attention back to Chris, and I look from her to Isabella and then back at her. The fact that she's trying to fuck me with her sister at the same table is starting to disgust me.

'Pot black much Alex?

Not two seconds ago, she had my dick in her hands and I almost let her finish me off. Since when have I developed a sexual moral code? I fuck who and where I want? It's like my brain forgot in the last few hours that my dick belongs to me and I can shove it in any pussy I want.

The question is, why am I even trying to get her attention? I could just marry the woman and continue to live at the club. I can fuck Carla whenever I want. She can paint her pictures and show up at events when I need her at my side. I can still fulfill my responsibilities to my father and the organization. It could be a marriage formed mostly out of convenience, for me mainly.

The only problem with that is that my father will kill me, and the way my mother has taken her under her wing, she'd be next in line. Almost everybody has a fondness for the girl, except her family. Her family appears to merely want to get rid of her. From what I can tell this far, there isn't much love lost there.

Dinner is winding down. Maria is removing the plates now, andstill, Isabella hasn’t looked my way. She lifts her face just enough to respond to Sebastian while they talk, but then right back to staring at the table. The sadistic bastard in me likes that I scared the shit out of her, but a small part of me wants her to look at me, just once on her own.

"We have coffee and dessert ready in the sitting room if everyone would like to follow me." My father stands immediately and walks over to my mother, pulling out her chair for her. He places her hand on his arm and leads the way. Mr. Gallo follows my father’s example. Christopher stands, helps Rebekah out of her seat, and makes his way to the door.

That just leaves the three of us still sitting at the table. Isabella’s face is turning crimson. Sebastian swivels his head my way and his eyes narrow as he places his napkin beside his plate.

I'll concede just this once.

"If you'll both excuse me, I’ll meet you both in there." I stand, lay my napkin gently on the table, and turn to head out the door.

For some reason, I don’t feel like vying for her attention when she doesn’t want to give it. I’m not some puppy whining to be played with. He can be her hero tonight because once the ring is on her finger, she has to face me on her own sooner or later.

Chapter 10 ~ Isabella

I could feel his eyes on me all throughout dinner, like a laser zeroing in on a target.

I tried to ignore him, putting the last few hours out of my thoughts. Attempting to get past his aggressive touch or the way he controlled every movement I made.

But I couldn’t. I knew he wouldn't physically harm me, but the fact that he wants to hurt me scares me even more. Like a wolf stalking its prey, I thought if I stayed still and quiet, he might just walk away, but he didn’t. He pounced and held me against the wall. Helpless, and scared and he... liked it.

I can still feel his fingers around my throat. Without thinking I reach up to touch them, the marks he left behind to remind me he's in control.

By now, I should be a zombie, a puppet for everyone to watch dance. But in my mind, I stood firm. I got through his forceful aggressive touch without losing myself to the dark void I hide in.

"Are you okay?" Sebastian says, placing his hand on mine on top of the table. The concern I read on his face comforts me, he is so sweet. He asked where I went after I ran from the sitting room and how Alexander managed to find me, but I didn’t tell him about anything that happened. It’s over now, so I smile to reassure him.

"I’m fine really. Just a little embarrassed." I slip my hand out fromunder his and give it a quick pat. A growl comes from farther down the table, and immediately Sebastian removes his hand and whips his head in the direction it came from.

There is no need to look his way to confirm my suspicions, I know it was Alexander giving me a warning and I quickly remove my hand from the table and tuck it into my lap. Studying the cold peas on my plate I avoid gazing in his direction. I can sense the hatred from here, without even having to look at his face.

"Never mind him, Luna. He’s just pissed off because I’m more fun than he is." He turns back to look at me. He beams that killer smile, and I can’t help but smile back.

"Is that my new name now?" I can feel my cheeks starting to heat up.

"Now don’t be all shy, we covered this. To me you’re Luna, but I’ll call you Isabella around the others."

I can’t help but laugh now. He has such a way of bringing me out of my head.

"Okay. Agreed. But who are you?"

"Ronnie,” He says all too fast. I look at him like he’s crazy and he starts to laugh.

"Ron with Harmonies brain. Hence, Ronnie. I’m super smart if you couldn’t already tell." He winks at me and picks up his glass to take a drink.

The rest of our meal consists of light conversation, movies we enjoy, and things we find interesting. This is how it should have been with Alexander, how I wanted it to be, but he treats people like he owns them. Given his job, I can understand it. Soon, he will own me in a sense, but he doesn’t want to get to know me.
