Wrapping a towel around my waist I go to the sink and wipe the steam off the mirror looking at myself with self-loathing. I should have just gone in there and given her shit, but no, I had to go and touch her, push her. Kissing her made me want more.

I snarl and push off the counter, turning off the bathroom light and making my way to my closet. I need to be at the club right now. If I immerse myself in work, get caught up on paperwork, and get out of here, I'll be able to resist the need to go back in there and make us both scream.

I take out my phone. I text Carlos and tell him to prepare the car. I’ll be down in ten minutes. I toss it back on the bed and return to the closet to retrieve my grey suit.

Once I’m dressed and feel more in control of myself, I scoop up my phone from the bed, and my wallet off the dresser before heading out. Opening my door I freeze staring at her closed door, she is only a few feet away.

My dick gets hard and I adjust it in my slacks.Christ, I just jerked off, how can it be hard again?

There are no visible lights on. I take a step closer and listen. There isn’t any sound. A smile spread across my lips and I have a warped sense of pleasure knowing that I wore out my little bunny.

Walking down the hall my steps lighter than when I first came home, I bounce down the stairs, with a satisfied grin on my face.

Carlos is standing near the front door. Gripping his wrist in front of his waist with one hand. He has one eyebrow raised in inquiry, and I can tell he’s concerned as to what happened upstairs.

“Boss?”

“Don’t do it, Carlos.” I keep walking, holding my hand to his face. “No, not right now. I have to be at the club. Check-in and get some work done. Tonight, my brother, I need to clear my mind.”

Nodding his head, he says nothing and opens the door as I head out into the night.

We reach the club, and it’s booming. The familiar scent of vanilla and stale beer assaults my nostrils and I smile as my body relaxes a little. I need this. The familiar territory where I can think and breathe without the smell of Lavender in my nose.

Making my way down the hall, where Carlos is shoving fondling couples and drunkards out of the way. The beat of the music is thumping in my chest, and my body relaxes as I watch the sea of people gyrating to the beat as a collective unit.

I head back behind the bar, lifting the counter and leaning against the ladder. There are five bartenders tonight. Each one is busy mixing and handing out drinks over the bar.

Marcus notices me and hands a towel off his shoulder to a new girl, leaning in to tell her something. She looks back over her shoulder at me and then leans in slightly, their hands grazing as he walks past her toward me.

She watches him walk away over her shoulder, her cheeks flush. She quickly gets back to work once she takes note I’m watching her.

Looks like Marcus has a new toy.

“Office,” I shout and point to the stairs. Marcus nods and follows me as I head around the bar, Carlos is moving bodies out of the way to clear a path for me as we head up.

Once inside, I head to my desk and take off my jacket, wrapping it on the back of the chair. I sit down. Carlos closes the door behind Marcus, the heavy beat of the bar muffled as he makes his way to the chair across from me.

“It’s busy tonight.” I look up at Marcus as I flip my laptop open.

“Yeah, it’s crazy out there for a Tuesday night. Never seen it this busy for a weekday.”

“I’m glad. Shows we are climbing the club ladder. How’s salesthis evening?”

“Off the charts. Not just hard liquor, but the top-end stuff is selling tonight. We have a sizeable group of business class, plus a few of the regular organization members are here. I gave them a large booth in the private section.”

That has my mind going. “Which members?”

Marcus looks at Carlos and then back at me.

“Jamison and his crew, as well as Bennett, but he only has his top few guys, plus his security. Why? Should I be worried?”

I shake my head no, “All good, Marcus. Just wanted to know who’s inside the house.”

I dig out my file folder and put it aside. “And Silk? Anyone I should know about?”

“Two of Jamison’s top guys went in, but they are vetted and have all the paperwork. I didn’t think there would be a problem.” He looks apprehensive, darting his eyes between Carlos and me. “Do we have a problem?”

“Which men?” I tap my finger on the desk.
