She pulled Debra down into a hug and knew Debra understood that she wasn’t talking about sex in that moment. She wanted Debra to stay with her in that small apartment and have those mornings and nights they’d just talked about. She wanted all of it.

CHAPTER 50

Jennifer

“We should’ve gone to our room like Debra and Sharon. That would’ve been smarter. Nia’s just sitting on the couch with her laptop. She can see us if we want to misbehave,” she said.

“We’re not supposed to misbehave,” Kristina returned from the lounge chair next to Jennifer’s.

“Will you at least share this chair with me, please? You are too far away.”

“There’s not enough room on that chair for both of us to lie down and be even remotely comfortable.”

“There was plenty of room last night.”

“I was on top of you.”

“Yes.”

Kristina laughed and asked, “You want me to straddle you, with Nia watching?”

“She’s not watching; she’s working. She can just see us through the window. Babe, come on. I want to be close to you while we do this.”

“Okay. But if we get in trouble, I’m telling Nia that this wasyouridea.”

“Fine. I’ll tell heryouhad your hand down my pants at breakfast this morning.”

“I did not.” Kristina laughed. “I had my handoveryour pants. There’s a difference.”

Then, Kristina stood up and carried her phone and headphones with her as she moved to straddle Jennifer’s hips.

“You had your fingers on my button.”

“Oh, I think I’d remember if I had my fingers on yourbutton.”

Kristina winked at her, set her phone and headphones on the small glass table between the chairs, and put her hands on Jennifer’s stomach over her shirt.

“I can’t wait to get my fingers on yourbutton,” Jennifer stated.

Kristina smiled at her and asked, “Now what? You go first?”

“Can we stay like this for a minute before we start?”

“Yeah. Are you okay?”

“I’m getting antsy,” she admitted as her hands went to Kristina’s thighs, and she rubbed them up and down.

“Antsy?”

“We have two nights left here, but I found you, you know?”

“Okay.”

“We also live in the same city. Helena and Becky left early because of that.”

“You want to leave?”

“I’m thinking about it, yeah. But only if you’re leaving, too, obviously,” Jennifer said.
