“You’re turning down sex with all these free sex toys right behind us?” Kristina teased.

“I didn’t say anything about turning itdown. I’m only suggesting we try a real date. We’ve done dinner. I know it was kind of a group thing, but now, we can do the after.”

“Which is sometimes sex.”

“I will take you back to that bedroom and get you naked right now, if you want. I would not complain at all if I were naked, and you were naked, and we were pressed together.” Jennifer pulled Kristina in by the hips. “I like being pressed against you.”

“But you’d like to go outside first?”

“Yes. I want to hold you on one of those chaise lounge chairs. I was thinking about it all day. I have no idea why. I have this image in my head of there being wineglasses on a table, the pool and hot tub are all lit up, there are stars in the sky, and we’re lying back, talking or even just sitting quietly, being together. It’s peaceful. I don’t get a lot of peace back home.”

“That sounds lovely,” Kristina replied. “Why don’t you go find us a blanket because it’ll get chilly soon, and I know you’ll keep me warm from behind, but…”

“I will grab a blanket,” Jennifer said and smiled at her.

“I’ll get the drinks. Red?”

“Whatever you’re getting is fine. I’m not picky. I’ll be right back.”

“Okay,” Kristina said.

She watched her date disappear down the hall and moved behind the bar, where she poured them two glasses of red wine, adding a little more than what would be considered a full glass because she didn’t want to have to come back inside. Then, she retrieved a bottle of water from the kitchen and met Jennifer back in the great room. The temperature outside was a little colder than she’d expected, but Jennifer wanted a night outside, and Kristina would give it to her if it meant they could be peaceful and still together.

“This is nice,” Jennifer noted softly once Kristina was lying back against her.

“It was a great idea,” she said as she pulled the blanket over them and relaxed more fully.

Jennifer’s arms wrapped around her then, and she kissed Kristina’s neck.

“I know I said this already and multiple times, but I had a great time last nightandthis morning.”

“Yes, this morning was nice, too,” Kristina agreed with a smile.

When she’d woken up, there had been three dice sitting right in front of her face. One had showed ‘lick,’ the middle one had said, ‘pussy,’ and the third one had landed on ‘thirty minutes’ but also had something written in pencil that she’d had to bring closer to her face to read. It had said, ‘Or, however long you want.’

She had looked around and found Jennifer standing at the end of the bed, completely naked.

“What do you say?” Jennifer had asked.

“Yes, please.”

Then, they’d made it out of the room for breakfast, but only because they’d needed to talk to Nia about them having another night together. If they hadn’t needed to do that, they probably would’ve stayed in bed all day, choosing to skip the daily group activity, which had been a hike where they’d been paired off and given a rope that they had had to keep in one hand at all times so that their partner couldn’t get too far away from them, and they’d had to work together up part of the mountain. Nia had put them in the same pairs as last night, which probably meant things were going well for the other pairs of women, too.

“So, that hike today was fun,” Jennifer spoke into the silence.

Well, it wasmostlysilent. The hot tub was on, and there were crickets, but other than that, there was only a light breeze blowing through the trees surrounding the house and backyard.

“We didn’t kill each other. I think that’s a good sign.”

“You wore a sports bra under your tank top. You weretryingto kill me, weren’t you?” Jennifer teased.

“No.” Kristina laughed. “I was told to pack for a hike, and it’s hot during the day here. I had a sweater in my bag, but I didn’t need it.”

“Really? Seemed like you got chilly there when we got to the top at that lake.”

“How did you–”

“Your nipples were showing through your braandthat thin excuse for a shirt.”
