I chuckle, shaking my head, trying to not show her how much she affects me. With my eyes squinted and a frown on my face, I grab her throat. “You dare talk back to me?”

I force her to look me in the eye. She’s always looking me in the eyes so she doesn’t get to hide from me now. She sobs. “Please, I want to be done with this. I’ll run away, and you’ll never have to hear from me again. I won’t tell anyone who had me or anything. Please.”

Her pleas are beautiful, but useless. My little rabbit must not get it.

“There’s not a fucking chance in hell that we are letting you go. Even if you pout that little lip at me and make me want to fuck your throat like a rabid animal. You are ours. Get used to it.”

She sobs harder and jerks away from me. Her hands remain tied so she can’t fight me off. I smirk. “I think someone has forgotten their place. Damn, you’ve been gone an hour and already you are sassy and feisty.”

“No, I…” I kiss her. The need to keep her quiet is for my sanity. If she says one more word I might lose it. Right now, all I want to do is enjoy those lips for one more moment before I have to do what’s necessary. Those lips taste like her salty tears, and I lick them.

“Funny how you whimper for me when I kiss you, yet you want to run away.” I strum my thumb across her lips and her breathing picks up. Oh yeah, this little girl doesn’t know what she wants. Good thing I know what to do for her—andtoher.

I rip her shirt open, and those beautiful tits of hers have yellow fingerprint bruises on them. That’s not good enough. I want to see them black and blue on her. I grab both breasts and squeeze them hard.

“Your bruises should be black and blue, baby.”

She screams, jerking, trying her damnedest to get away.

“Stop!”Her plea is so beautiful. So, fucking beautiful. I want to hear it again.

“Mm, music to my ears, little rabbit.” I squeeze harder and she kicks me. My left leg registers a slight pain, but I laugh. I am forged in pain. Anything she thinks she can do to me, I’ve had worse done.

“Oh, little rabbit, you’ve got to stop this. The more fight in you, the more I want to fucking break you.”

She freezes and looks up at me. “Please, no more.” Her body goes limp in the chair. Defeat written on her face. It’s almost sad, but I love to see that submission.

Maybe Ayres is right. She’s like a little kitten who has claws and wants to play with the big boys. Hell, seeing her like this makes me want to take her home right now, but I can’t. I must teach her a lesson.

A lesson she will never forget.

I have to give her props though. After all this time, she’s still a fucking conundrum to me. I admire her spunk but crave her submission. I want to hear her call meMaster.

With a firm grip on her throat, I demand she pay attention. “Get up.”

I feel her gulp and nod at me as she stands up. She trembles as I lean down toward her.

“I’m going to strip you naked. When I’m done, you’re going to walk out of that door and onto the dock. Do you understand?”

She rolls her eyes at me. “Yes.” She is trying to hide her fear from me by being bratty. If she knew how hard my cock was right now, she’d knock her shit off. I don’t ’grab her harder this time. No, I bend down until my mouth is on her ear and I lick it.

I whisper, “Keep it up and you may not make it out of this room.”

She freezes and stands there as I rip the pants down her legs. I can smell her wetness. I chuckle. “Fight all you want, little rabbit, but you’re so fucking wet for me right now, and that tells me you want this.”

I can’t getover the idea that he knows how to keep me in line. I want to fight him and throw him off his game. It’s not working. We walk out of the office, and every head turns our way. I blush with embarrassment as the dockworkers stare. My fear is eating me alive. Maybe I should have stayed at the house. I’m so unsure right now. Kronos takes me into the middle of the workers.

Looking down, I say a silent prayer to anyone listening. Please let this be quick, whatever this is. Please.

Kronos yanks on my hair, causing me to gasp. “Head up and your eyes forward.” I want to defy him. To tell him to go to hell. I don’t. Instead, I growl at him.

He ignores me. Of course, he does. “Williams, bring the crane over here.” A shirtless man, apparently named Williams, heads over toward a crane. My eyes dart back and forth. Why does he need a crane?

“Now you’re afraid?” Kronos asks in my ear. His hot whispered words send shivers down my spine.

I lie to him. It goes against every cell of my body, but I don’t want to give him the satisfaction. “No, I’m not.”

The crane stops a few inches from my head, and I cringe. I want to beg Kronos to let me go. I know he won’t. The words are on the tip of my tongue.
