“I’ll be a good girl, sir,” Aria said, as she withdrew her lips with an audiblepop. She returned her attentions to his rigid cock, which seemed to be pulsing with arousal and lust as she worked her tongue and mouth around it.

Jack closed his eyes and leaned his head back. The pirate seized Aria’s hair in both hands, controlling the motion of her head so that he was fucking her mouth as much as she was sucking his cock. Finally, Aria felt his balls tighten and draw up, and then a moment later, Jack’s cum gushed from the head of his cock. She savored the warm, creamy texture of his essence, using her lips and tongue to draw every last drop of him into her mouth. From her knees, she looked up at him and licked the last drips of his orgasm from her lips.

“I hope I’ve made it up to you, sir,” Aria said. Jack drew her up from her knees and onto his lap.

“Oh, my dear, my darling.” Jack drew her up from her knees and onto his lap. “That’s the beauty of a good, firm spanking. The situation is dealt with, and that’s an end to it. Although, I am never going to say no to your method of making things up to me.”

“Good,” said Aria into the firmness of his chest. “I like doing it.”

“And thank goodness for that. Now, do you think you’re ready to discuss our situation?” he asked.

“Yes, sir,” she said, “I’m sorry that I was so upset before.”

Jack waved his hand. “Quite understandable, but you were making it rather difficult to look at matters in a rational way. But, never mind, that’s done with. We have a problem, and that problem is the fact that you appear to have been implanted with a rather unique and curious tracking device.”

“Why do you say unique and curious?”

“Well, we gave you a body scan when I first took you aboard; that’s just common sense and safety. But your tracking device operates on a frequency well outside normal detection. Only the much more thorough scanning done by the Trebs revealed its presence, and even then, we needed their technical information before we could find it for ourselves. That makes it rather unique, I must say.”

“Okay,” said Aria, nodding, “but why curious?”

“Who in the galaxy would implant something like that in you, and for what purpose? You must understand that this is something well beyond the technological resources of even your father. Who had this done to you, and when, and why?”

“I can’t help you there,” she sighed. “I never even knew this thing existed. Can you get it out of me?”

“That’s what our medical team is trying to work out,” replied Jack. “It’s in your left thigh. I assumed at first that is was in your muscle, as the muscle mass there is large enough to hide things—ouch!” Aria had pinched his nipple, half in play. “I don’t mean that you have large thighs, darling, although I wouldn’t care if you did. It’s one of the largest muscle masses inanyone’sbody!”

“Fine.” She stuck her tongue out at him. “But you said it’s not in the muscle?”

“No.” His face turned serious. “It’s in the bone—the femur. That’s a whole different prospect. The femur is the hardest bone in the human body, harder than concrete. Putting it in there would have taken some effort, and it may take some effort to get it out again.”

“Hmm,” said Aria, thinking. “I can’t imagine when someone could have—wait!” She snapped her fingers. “When I was a teenager, I loved horseback riding. At sixteen, I had a very bad fall. The doctor had to put me out, and, when I woke up, my left thigh hurt like you wouldn’t believe. The doctor told me I had a very bad bone bruise. I couldn’t ride for a month.”

“I would be very curious to know the identity of that doctor,” said Jack quietly.

“She wasn’t our usual doctor,” recalled Aria. “My father brought in a specialist. At least, that’s what he told me.”

“This needs some further investigation,” said Jack, “and may give us some clues as to thewhyof this thing. In the meantime, let’s give our medics a chance to work out how we get this thing out of you.”

“Please.” She shuddered. “I don’t like the idea of having something inside me that I didn’t ask for.”

Jack had an odd expression on his face. “Not likethat,” said Aria, her face red. “Oh good grief, get your mind out of the gutter!”

***

After ensuring Aria was served something to eat and that she would be able to have a blanket and pillow, Jack hurried down to the medical bay. As he rushed along, he was joined by Quinn.

“If you’re going to say what I think you’re going to say, just don’t,” he snarled.

“Well, that doesn’t leave me with much to say, does it, Captain?” she returned.

“No, it bloody well doesn’t,” he answered, lengthening his strides.

Quinn sped up her pace. “You can’t just ignore the implications of this, Jack.”

The pirate stopped suddenly and rounded on her. “And what do you want me to do, Quinn? I’m not going to just cut her loose; you know that. I love her. So what does that leave us to talk about?”

“I didn’t expect that you’d cut her loose, Jack,” said Quinn quietly. “I know you better than that. But we—and I do mean we—have to examine what this means. This tech is way out of the reach of a man like Comber Gryffin, rich as he is. That means someone else has taken an interest in Aria Gryffin, and until we know who it is, we’re flying blind.”
