“Alright, alright. I take it back,” I said hastily because I really wanted him to finish. He was so good with his tongue. When he continued to hesitate, I quietly added, “Please.”

That seemed to be enough for him because he parted my legs even further as he draped one leg over his shoulder and held the one foot down on the bed. He continued to lap, nip, and suck me into a frenzy. I was murmuring nonsensical words as my orgasm hit me with so much force that I cried out. When I opened my eyes, I stared down into Fox’s heated gaze.

“Wow,” I said. “That was unexpected.” I pushed my clothes back into position and sat up on one elbow.

“I know.” He stood, and I caught him adjusting himself in his jeans. “You think you had me figured out and I wanted to prove you wrong. I’m full of surprises, too.”

“Well, I kind of enjoyed being wrong.”

“I could tell, and the pleasure was all mine.”

“Was it?” I nodded down to his bulging erection and shrugged.

“I’ll be okay.”

“I might be able to help you out with that,” Sitting up on my knees, I quickly unzipped his pants. “Plus, I owe you an apology.” His eyes widened in shock as I pulled out his stiff cock and then hissed as I leaned down to run my tongue over the tip.

“Ah.” He groaned as I slid his full length into my mouth. His hands grabbed on to my hair and I bobbed back and forth, sucking and moving my hand up along his length in time with my mouth. I looked up to see that his eyes were as dark as the cloudy sky outside and focused on me. He started to move his hips faster and I let him fuck my mouth until his movements became jerky.

“Need to pull out...gonna come.”

I didn’t allow him to move away as I held tightly to his thigh with one hand while I reached with the other to cup his balls.

“Ah, God. Harley.” His abdominal muscles clenched and contracted as he came in my mouth in long spurts. The power picked that exact moment to go out, leaving Fox and I panting in the darkness. I released him from my mouth and he got up. A few seconds later he appeared next to me on the bed using his phone as a flashlight.

“Hey,” he said.

“Hey,” I replied. “Look, I’m sorry about earlier. I don’t know why I say things like that.” The words were out of my mouth before I realized I was saying them. Wait. Had I just apologized?

No more bourbon for me.

“Like I said. It’s all a cover-up.” He grinned and stepped away. “I’m going to go and check with the front desk to see if they know anything about the power.”

I flopped back on the bed as images of what had just happened between us played in my head. I’d expected to be spending the evening playing scrabble or something equally ridiculous, not watching him eat me out. He was turning out to be way more fun than I imagined, and I felt myself grinning in the dark.

The power remained off for the remainder of the night and we finished off the rest of the bourbon and passed out cold, fully clothed while lying beside each other on the king-sized bed.

The next day we waited and waited until the ferry was up and running by late afternoon. Neither of us brought up the intimate moment we had in the motel room. We finally made it to Sea Whisper Island just before sunset. “So, what’s your address?”

Well, shit. I guess I hadn’t thought about that. Of course, he’ll need to drop me off somewhere. “I’m not sure of the exact address. It’s my Gram’s house. I’ll know it when I see it,” I answered, hoping that would work. Then I began focusing on each house as we passed by even though I had no clue what I was searching for. The only sounds were the light tapping of rain against the car and the whooshing of the wipers. As we made our way down a winding road with houses on the right and the ocean to the left, the suppressed memories in the back of my mind pushed their way to the front. Suddenly I knew where I was and as we reached the end of a long curve in the road, I saw the house I spent the summer with Gram and my parents. There was a blue mailbox out front, a tree with the tire swing, and hydrangea bushes under the two front windows.

“Here!” I shouted causing Fox to jerk.

“Here?” he questioned, and I nodded.

“Yes. Yes, here. This is it.”

Fox immediately slowed so that he could turn into the driveway. It was just as I remembered it, a small, white one-story cottage with a porch swing on the side facing the ocean. When the car came to a stop, I turned to him and fiddled with the strap on my bag. We both sat in awkward silence, not looking at each other. We had shared an intimate moment but nothing more. I didn’t want to give him my number and I sure as hell hoped that he wasn’t expecting it.

“Look, I don’t want this to be weird. I really appreciate the ride and all. Are you sure I can’t give you something for the hotel room, gas or anything.” I’d already tried to hand him money several times that day, but he refused to take it.

“Yeah, it’s cool. Don’t worry about it.” He shrugged, and I was relieved that we were on the same page. I opened the door and hopped out. “Are you sure this is the house,” he asked again, not sounding convinced that he’d taken me to the right place. I looked at him and nodded.

“I’m sure.” Because I was. This was the house my Gram owned before everything fell apart. “Thanks again, Fox.”

“Take care, motorcycle girl.” He said just as I shut the door. I slowly walked up the driveway, aware the whole time that he was watching. Why did he have to be such a nice guy and make sure I got in safely? Mack would have roared off and been long gone.
