A sharp pain shot through my neck. I screamed and wiggled in the chair, begging him to stop. The worst of it all was thinking I’d die in front of Killien, that he’d have to watch it happen. I remember his screams, his voice breaking into a raw, desperate cry of rage. It was the last thing I heard as I slowly drifted away. My strength wavered, until I could no longer scream or move. I just passed out.

Then there was something burning in my mouth. Incredibly sweet and thick, but hot like lava. Like caramel maybe. It slid down my throat, almost destroying my organs in the process. The heat became unbearable as it spread all throughout me, tingling and lighting up every single nerve ending in my body. Something was pressed against my mouth, something that felt like skin. An arm? A wrist?

I was still tied to the chair, too weak to move, my senses almost completely numbed. But I held on to my will to live. Ikept swallowing the burning liquid, as if I refused to choke on it. Seeing Killien again was all I could think about. Nothing else mattered.

However, that wasn’t all. The more I swallowed, the stronger the sensation within me became. Something that I’d never felt before, a tingling so hot it fired a groan up my throat. I wanted more. More pleasure, and more of what was causing it.

But whatever was pressed against my mouth was yanked away. I gasped for air, coughing and repressing the groans and moans that wanted to get out of me. My entire body was on fire and engulfed in a wave of pure bliss, and there was a strange sour aftertaste in my mouth.

When I opened my eyes, I could see nothing but faint light and moving shadows for a while. The sound of Killien whimpering and struggling had me on edge until my vision adjusted. Colors and shapes slowly settled in front of me, creating the blurry image of the dingy room I was in.

I turned my head to see Ledger standing in front of Killien, grabbing a fistful of his ginger hair and throwing his head back. I tried to scream, but barely managed a grunt. Ledger brought his free hand to his mouth and bit onto his wrist. My eyes widened as the realization of what was happening hit me. Killien’s lips were forced open by Ledger’s fingers, right before he pressed his injured wrist against them.

Blood dripped from the corner of my brother’s mouth, sliding down his jaw and neck and staining his white T-shirt. Tears ran down my face as I stared at his unresponsive face. He wasn’t moving, and I thought he was gone for good. Then his Adam’s apple bobbed. Killien’s lips closed tightly against Ledger’s wrist as he kept swallowing.

Relief washed through me. I laughed and cried at the same time. Killien’s feet moved, his back arched onto the wooden chair, and he let out a soft muffled moan. I was fascinated bythe scene, by the way my vision became sharper and livelier with each passing second. The color of Killien’s hair seemed more intense than ever, just like Ledger’s glowing eyes.

I had a good look at our maker’s face for the first time. His pale skin was spotless, but his short blonde hair was greasy and unkempt. He had a hooked nose, and thin lips tinged with blood, our blood. His gaze was focused on Killien, a sadistic smile plastered on his face. After what seemed like forever, he pulled his wrist from Killien’s lips and stumbled away from us.

And I still couldn’t process what had just happened to us. Sometimes, I still struggle to believe it. Looking at Killien right now seems surreal. He sits on the old sofa, with his legs crossed and an impassive expression. But the memory of him tied to that goddamn chair remains clear as day. When I’d thought he was dead. When I’d thought I’d lost him.

I’ll never forget the way his irises lit up the first time we could look into each other’s eyes again. Amber, soft shades of brown, and threads of glowing gold. They seemed to come to life as if powered by fire. We were reborn as something entirely different from what we used to be, but still together.

Even after all we’ve been through, Killien is still distant, hesitant. I haven’t tested his patience since our last conversation, although I really want to. I wanna curl by his side and force him to wrap an arm around my shoulders. I wanna smell his hair, feel the warmth of his skin. I’d even steal a kiss this very second, if I didn’t think he’d punch me.

Behave yourself, Damien. Behave.

Jacob will be here any second. We’ll drink his blood and I’ll have to be a really good boy. If he tastes like liquid fire, just like Ledger did, I will have to practice a whole lot of self-control. I sink on the sofa and sigh just at the thought of it. My cock is much more excited than it should be.

Killien looks at me from the other end of the sofa. “Are you okay?”

No. I want your blood and your dick down my throat. Like, right now.

“Yeah.” I clear my voice. I have to stop those lewd thoughts. I have to behave. “Just . . . thinking.”

He hesitates for a second, his gaze exploring my face as if he was looking for some kind of sign. The voices coming from the TV mumble incoherently until he speaks. “About what?”

“Do you think Jacob will taste like Ledger?” I ask, testing him.

Killien stiffens, his nostrils flaring just a tiny bit. This time, he hesitates for a little longer, fidgeting with some loose threads of fabric from the sofa between his fingers. I’m sure he knows what I’m talking about. He must have felt it too. The overwhelming pleasure, the burning desire. I remember how his back arched, even as he was tied on the chair, how his hips tried to thrust forward. His bloodied tongue licking his lips as soon as Ledger pulled his wrist away.

Despite the horror of it all, it was deeply erotic. Yeah, the sight of him like that turns me the hell on. It was a little glimpse into a side of him I shouldn’t have seen. And it might or might not be my favorite thing to think about when I touch myself.

“I don’t know,” he mutters, sinking deeper into the grey cushions.

“I wasn’t sure if you’d felt it too.” I avoid his gaze, playing my innocent boy card. One that has gotten me a lot of good things, especially from him.

“I’m not sure what I felt. It was all—confusing.” He isn’t looking at me either, and I’m not buying his words.

“Yeah, I barely understood what was going on. It happened too fast.”

The doorbell rings, making Killien jump on the spot and huff. Boy, he’s on edge. I really can’t wait to watch him sink his fangsinto Jacob’s skin. I’m gonna have to be really disciplined. But I just want to let loose. I want to unleash all the pent-up energy in me, and I want Killien to do the same. But it probably won’t be today.

Behave yourself, Damien. Behave.
