It takes me a second to place her words. “That’s the speech fromBlade Runner.”

“What?” she asks, looking perplexed, except there’s a mischievous glint in her eyes.

“That’s the speech fromBlade Runner! The one Rutger Hauer improvised.”

She waggles her eyebrows. “Is it?”

I grin at her, unable to help myself. “You watched it.”

“Yeah. Of course I did. You’re the one who told me I had to.” She crossed her arms over her chest, clearly mimicking the stance of a military man, and she pitches her voice lower. “No, of course, just readingDo Androids Dream of Electric Sheepisn’t the same. You miss the big speech. It’s the defining moment in the movie.”

“You didn’t just watch it. You loved it.”

“Maybe.”

“No. You loved it. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have memorized the speech.”

“You called it the most moving death soliloquy in movie history,” she points out.

“Well, I didn’t say that. Film critics did.”

She grins at me again. “And they were right. It’s good stuff.”

I am such a goner for this woman. I’m head over ass in love with her. Once I prove to her how good we can be together, she’s going to wonder why she ever even looked at Tripp.
