“They aren’t my type.” I stare into her face, trying to read the truth there, and when a small blush touches her cheeks, my eyebrows raise.
“You like women!”
“Ugg…” she groans, dropping her face to her hands.
I can’t stop the small laugh that leaves me. “Don’t worry Freya, I think everything is going to work out for you.” And not just her, but likely for the woman I’d have to send back in her place. I just hope whoever she was, she wanted a family. I didn’t have control over what happened in Dyconia, but so far, everyone I sent through had ended up with their fated mates, whether they realized it or not.
Now I just have to find Freya in the human world and convince her to go into another realm she doesn’t even know exists. As a pang of pain hits my stomach, I swear under my breath. Crap! It was too soon, if the pain was starting already, I had no time to find her and come up with a plan to get her through the Enchanted Veil.
Looks like I was going to have to get creative and move fast.
“Are you okay?” Freya asks.
“I will be, but I might need your help. Tell me, do you want to go back there? To Dyconia?”
She quickly shakes her head. “No. Do I have to? Can I stay here?”
I give her a smile as I ask, “How do you feel about drugging and kidnapping?”
The End
