He cursed under his breath angrily before snapping again,

“What the fuck is going on with her?”

Felix stayed silent for a second before answering cautiously.

“Mr. Creed… maybe Mrs. Creed is still upset.”

Elias scoffed coldly.

“Upset?” he repeated harshly. “She used to get angry if I didn’t come home for a night.”

He started pacing again.

“Now I’m gone for three months, and she acts like it doesn’t matter whether I return or not.”

He stopped moving again before glaring at Felix.

“I was gone for three whole months.”

Felix nodded.

“Yes, sir.” He hesitated briefly before adding carefully, “The direct flight arrangements failed, so you immediately took a private jet back overnight.” He looked at Elias with a small smile. “But Mrs. Creed doesn’t know any of that.”

Elias’s expression stiffened slightly.

Felix continued cautiously,

“She probably thinks you were only focused on work…” He paused carefully. “And that you didn’t care enough to come back sooner.”

“When the hell did I ever act like I don’t care about her?”

Elias barked furiously.

His voice echoed sharply across the office as he turned toward Felix with dark eyes filled with irritation.

“If I didn’t care, would I be doing all this?” He pointed aggressively toward the piles of documents on the desk. “I came straight home to her the second I landed instead of coming here first to handle three months’ worth of pending business.”

He pointed angrily toward the office door as if the mansion itself was standing there.

“And what does she do?”

A bitter laugh escaped him.

“She tosses me aside like I’m some fucking unwanted guest in my own house.”

Felix visibly flinched.

He lowered his head slightly and forced a careful, awkward smile onto his face, trying not to worsen Elias’s mood.

“Mr. Creed… maybe if you go back home now and explain things properly, Mrs. Creed might understand. After all, you’ve been gone for three months. I don’t think she truly wants to leave you.”

He paused briefly before adding softly,

“She must’ve been very upset.”

Elias’s jaw tightened.

He suddenly turned away from Felix and grabbed the phone from the table roughly. His thumb immediately moved to dial Amara’s number.
