Dove beams and touches her hair.“And my hair looks cute!”
“Yes, it does.”I laugh, get up, and open the refrigerator.“Do you guys want anything?”
“I’ll have a beer too,” Lu says, while Atiana asks for a bottle of water.
When we’re all settled with our drinks, I decide to address the reason I’m here.“Ghost stayed the night with me, and now he’s ghosted me for two days.”
Lu’s green eyes widen, and then she starts laughing.“Do you think that’s how he got his name?”
“I love Uncle Ghost,” Dove announces.
“I thought it was because he’s so stealthy,” Atiana adds, eyes dancing with amusement.“So what’s going on with you two?We’re all dying to know.”She covers her daughter’s ears.“Have you had S-E-X yet?”
