Funny enough, there was a twinge in Aaren’s body that wasn’t there yesterday.Am I falling sick?
Hades huffed and kissed his nape. “I’ll take your word for it. So, do you have plans for today?”
“Um... No.” Aaren sagged. “Most of my friends are busy with their families. Sometimes I hang out with Tripp and Maiz, but they’re working today. Tripp has a new job at some fancy place.”
“What if I take you out for some clothes shopping?” Hades rumbled against his skin. “Buy you some pretty underwear?”
“Oh,” Aaren said softly. “The ones with holes in them?”
“Yes.” Hades slid his hand down Aaren’s side in a rush of tingles. He caught Aaren’s thigh and spread him open. “Jag told me where I can find some in your size.”
Aaren’s heart skipped a beat. “Really?”
“Yes.” Hades thrust into him lazily. Then he pulled out with a wet sound and patted Aaren’s ass. “C’mon, up. Time to get out of bed so I can buy you some nice things.”
“Including breakfast?”
“How do you feel about cinnamon rolls for breakfast?”
Aaren moaned. “Please. If you throw in coffee, I’ll forgive you for pulling out too early.”
Hades laughed heartily. “I’m saving some come for later, sweetheart. When you’re all wrapped up in pretty clothes.”
Maybe, by wearing pretty clothes, Aaren would finally get to feel pretty.
Hades climbed off the bed and headed for the bathroom; Aaren hurried after him with hope unfurling in his chest.

UNDERWEAR SHOPPING IS FOREPLAY
The cinnamon roll was warm, sticky and sweet in the very best way.
Aaren stopped in front of the bakery, his face crushed into the opening of his paper bag, biting off another mouthful. “This could be the rest of my life, and I would be happy.”
“Really?” Hades asked, looking amused. “Standing here with a cinnamon roll for the rest of your life?”
“Well, it has to be a never-ending supply of cinnamon rolls. Fresh ones. Mmm!” Aaren bit into the warm, sweet center of the roll and wriggled. “I can’t have enough.”
He took another bite, savoring its soft chewiness. Then he took another bite. And another.
Suddenly, there was no more cinnamon roll in his bag.
Aaren stared at the empty bag in dismay. “Where did it go?”
Hades coughed lightly. “Here.”
He handed over another paper bag. Aaren took it and gasped at the unblemished, perfect cinnamon roll inside. “Wait. Isn’t this yours?”
Hades shrugged. “I’ll get another.”
Aaren clutched the new roll to his face and moaned again. “You’re the best. You’re the cinnamon roll angel.”
He took a bite of the warm, soft cinnamon roll and moaned in happiness. Hades smiled, shook his head, and went back into the bakery.
Just like that. With no words about whether Aaren should eat more than one cinnamon roll.
Aaren couldn’t help but watch as Hades got in line. Then he came back out with two more paper bags, and Aaren swooned.
