“Because you smell divine, and you won’t have to use the descenting spray.” His dimples flash again, and I duck my head.

Why the hell am I blushing right now?

What is going on?

I elbow him in the side. “Shut up. I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but we’re on our way to work.”

He shrugs. “And?”

“And we need to act professionally at work,” I say it like it’s obvious, and he’s an idiot. My eyes widen when he lets out a soft groan and reaches down to adjust his cock. “Seriously?”

“I don’t know what to tell you, Luna. I wasn’t joking earlier.” Another flash of dimples. “Now, I just don’t have to work so hard to hide it from you.”

Fuck.

Maybe this was a bad idea.

I can’t walk around perfuming everywhere because he gets off on me talking down to him. I take a deep breath as I try to screw my head on correctly.

Work. I just need to think about work.

“Mmm, grumpy Luna is back.” Prescott chuckles when I glare at him, only laughing harder when my eyes drop to his cock, which is definitely harder.

How is this my life?

“Damn it, Pres. Knock it off.” I let go of his arm as we reach the office, pulling my keys from my purse so I can unlock thefront door. “I need to prepare for my meeting with Betsy. Go make me a coffee, and when you’re done, I want you to get background checks ran on Knight and his alphas. The sister too. Email Lark if you have to.”

He hums, moving past me toward the coffee cart. “I like it when you’re bossy.”

“Enough, Prescott!” I practically yell, my face flushed. “This is our place of business, and I need you to act like it. I know this is new, but we need to be able to separate business and personal.”

He groans, and even with his back to me, I can tell he’s reaching for his cock again.

I throw my hands up in exasperation and head for my office.

I cannot with him right now.

Settling into my seat, I open my computer and pull up the files I need for my meeting. I send the documents I need to the printer and grab my tablet to make notes on. I know this case inside and out, but I like having lists to make sure I don’t miss telling my clients anything they need to know.

This wasn’t something that had to go to court. I just had to untangle some legal bindings to make sure that Betsy got what she deserved.

“Apology latte?”

I glance up to find Prescott standing there with a sheepish grin on his face. I wave him in, taking the offered cup and sipping the liquid gold.

Mmm. Cinnamon roll again. This is definitely a new favorite.

“I’m sorry for being a jerk, Luna. I know this is a place of business, and we both take it seriously. I’m just having a hard time keeping my head around you right now.” He lowers himself into the chair across from my desk. “I wasn’t expecting this, and I think I’ve lost some brain cells.”

A small smile tugs at my lips. “I’m not actually mad. You were just making it hard to concentrate on anything but your cock.”

“Well, you know, I’m okay with you concentrating on my cock anytime you want.” He winces. “Ignore not. Like I said, no brain cells to be had.”

“It’s fine. We’re both going to have to find a new balance with how our relationship has shifted. Although, if I’d known what a deviant perv you were, I might not have wanted to date you, so it’s good I didn’t know before now,” I tease him, shooting him a wink to let him know I’m messing with him.

He shrugs. “It’s definitely too late now. You’re stuck with me.”

Why does that send warmth fluttering through me?
