Sometimes, I had to enlighten people, letting them know who my mother was. The killing thing was that she’d represented a couple of people I’d had to put up on game. They were one stepfrom a jail cell sometimes and had the audacity to look down their noses at me. I took pride in letting them know differently.

The crazy part was that I had more money and assets than a lot of them did. I’d come here in a Maybach that Uncle Corey helped me to get. He was a billionaire. The nigga owned a couple of car dealerships, bringing the first high-end luxury dealership to Beaumont. He was brave as fuck for that. Those niggas in Beaumont were getting rowdy. Every day there seemed to be a report about a shooting or someone getting killed. Most times, it started as a robbery.

When I left for TSU, I never moved back. Houston was my home now. For a minute, I thought my parents were going to move as well. They both had offices in Houston as well. Their firms were practically nationwide now. Knowing that they both came from nothing made me proud. My dad had been on the wrong side of the law at one time, and sometimes I thought he still was, him and Uncle Shawn.EspeciallyUncle Shawn.

Once I finished preparing everyone’s cabins, it was time for them to start boarding. I looked around, making sure everything was in order, then took my position at the front to welcome everyone aboard. A couple of people boarded, and I greeted them like I knew them. I didn’t have the slightest clue who they were. Then I saw her. SOLA was thick as fuck, and it seemed that was more apparent in person. When her eyes met mine, she smiled.

“Welcome aboard Premier Wings Elite Air Services, Aircraft One-Twelve.”

Her smile widened, and she said, “Thank you . . . Graham,” she said, reading my name on my badge.

I nodded, and said, “Allow me to show you to your private cabin.”

The lady with her nudged her, causing her to look back at her. I got that shit all the time. Women who were celebrities wereno different than the everyday woman. They admired a good-looking man, no matter his status. Now, his status definitely mattered if things were to go any further than admiration.

When we got to her cabin, I stood outside of it and held my hand out like an usher. “Welcome again. I’ll be back to check on you once we’re in the air. If you need anything before then, just press your call button, right here,” I said, pointing to the button on the wall. “There’s another on the armrest of your chair.

“Thank you,” she said as her eyes scanned me from head to toe.

She wasn’t shy, that was for sure. She could fuck around with me if she wanted to. I’d have her on all these inches when we got to LA. I worked specifically for this aircraft. Wherever it went was where I went. Homebase was Houston. So, as long as she was flying on PW-112, she would see me.

I nodded and made my way back to the front, only to see Aunt Sonya and Sharee boarding. I slightly rolled my eyes, because I knew they were going to do extra shit and have me working this entire flight. When they saw me, they smiled. Aunt Sonya said, “Hey, Graham. How’s everything, baby?”

She kissed my cheek, then wiped her lipstick off it. “Hey, Aunt Sonya. What’s up, Sharee? Why y’all flying out of Houston instead of Dallas?”

“Hey, Graham. We were in Beaumont, visiting the family.”

“Oh. What y’all going to LA for?” I asked as I followed them to their area, passing right in front of where SOLA was.

“I have a video shoot with my baby, and you know Aunt Sonya travels with me sometimes.”

I nodded. Exodus had her in nearly all his videos. “He don’t get tired of you being in every video?” I asked to fuck with her.

“Obviously not, jackass. He can’t get enough of all this.”

She rolled her eyes and shoved me. I chuckled as they entered their area. I noticed their cabin was big enough for three people, so I asked, “Who else is joining y’all?”

“Exodus. He wanted to be with me, so instead of flying from New York to Cali, he flew here to meet us.”

I slowly shook my head. “I guess.”

When I turned to walk off to get their shit, I nearly ran into Exodus. He slapped my outstretched hand, and said, “What’s up, yo? You good?”

“Yep. What about you, kinfolk?”

“I’m cool. Glad to be seeing this goddess behind you.”

I faked gagged as Sharee laughed, and said, “Fuck you, Graham.”

I went to get Aunt Sonya’s blanket and hot tea. They weren’t assigned to me, but since they were my people, I would definitely be taking care of them. Once I got everything they needed, I noticed SOLA still watching me on my way back to them. I knew she’d probably heard and seen our interactions. Knowing I was connected to the industry’s elite would have her dropping those drawers when we got to LA.

When I got back to them, I threw a pillow at Sharee, hitting her in the head, and handed Aunt Sonya her things. “Keep on, and I’m gon’ report yo’ ass,” she joked.

I chuckled. “Y’all holla if you need something. I won’t be mad if you don’t though.”

Exodus chuckled as Aunt Sonya slowly shook her head. When I headed back to the front to see who else had arrived, I caught SOLA’s eyes. She was standing in her doorway looking fine as fuck in her leggings. As I approached, I asked, “Do you need something Miss SOLA?”

She smiled slightly. “Call me Arlie. How do you know Sonya, Sharee, and Exodus?”
