And he liked that idea.

Mostly because when Gene wanted sex in the middle of the night, he wanted him to just take it.

Who was he to complain?

Someone knew how to take care of him, and Gene was more than a generous lover.

In control, Gene drove him up, and Ethan took that delicious tumble from the edge thanks to his lover’s mouth and hands.

When he slid back up his body, their hands locked together, and Gene stayed above him.

“I needed you,” he said, staring down at him.

Moonlight was coming through the window, and Gene could see the love of his life in the light casting that ethereal glow across his body.

“So, I decided to have you.”

Ethan was trapped, and there was no better place to be than under Gene.

He shared his heart.

“I’m yours to have when you need me,” he admitted. “I love you, Gene. I’ll always love you. Please never doubt that. My heart is yours,” he offered.

Deep down, he suspected that his lover had heard Callen. The look in his brown eyes were of worry, like he might lose Ethan.

And he wouldn’t.

Ever.

He knew who he was meant to be with for the rest of his life, and it was this man.

His man.

At his words, the bigger man’s heart skipped in his chest. He adored this man in ways he never thought possible. The idea of losing him…

It rattled his cage.

That fear was back again, despite what Ethan had told him earlier about never running again.

Now, he knew he had a reason to run back.

Callen.

The man across the hall.

“Mind if I enjoy my mate?” he asked. “Before I pass back out?”

At his words, Ethan smiled.

“Oh, no, sexy man. Don’t have your way with me in the middle of the night.”

That humor was needed.

Gene laughed.

And then, he found his mouth, sinking back into another deeply erotic kiss. There was no better place to be than with Ethan. Now that they were back together, all was right with the world.

They stayed locked together, the heat rising around them.
