The matebond purred lazily between us.
Home.
That was what he felt like.
Home.
“Let’s get you home, mate,” he murmured eventually, kissing my forehead gently. “If anyone sees you like this, I will have to throw them into a black hole.”
I laughed weakly.
“You’re dramatic.”
“I am a fully claimed Monster. It is expected.”
Gods.
I loved him so much.
He wrapped us both in shadows afterward, carrying me effortlessly through the moonlit streets of Runevald while I curled against his chest completely content.
Later, tangled together beneath the blankets of our bed while dawn approached outside the tower windows, Menon kissed the top of my head softly.
“I thought I was doomed to walk the night alone,” he whispered.
Emotion tightened painfully in my chest.
“Never,” I promised immediately. “I will never let you be alone.”
His arms tightened around me.
“I know, my sweet Luna.” His voice roughened slightly. “How could you? You are this Monster’s heart.”
Tears burned unexpectedly behind my eyes.
Because once upon a time, I truly believed no one would ever look at me and see forever.
Then a blue celestial Monster from another realm kissed me beneath the moon and changed everything.
Fated mates were rare even in magical worlds.
But Runevald?
Runevald had become something else entirely.
A place where Monsters found home.
Where broken magic healed.
Where lonely hearts collided beneath ancient stars.
And maybe that was why Celestial Mapping mattered so much now.
Because somewhere out there—another lonely supernatural creature was staring at the sky wondering if anyone in the multiverse could possibly understand them.
Just like I once had.
And maybe someday Menon’s program would help them find their person too.
