Blaze kissed him. It wasn’t as long as his heart craved, but it didn’t take much to make German happy.
Blaze took a step back. “I’ve missed you like crazy.”
His heart was so greedy. German didn’t want to let Blaze out of sight ever again. “Yeah. It’s been hell.”
“Do you want me to drop this bag in the laundry room or your bedroom?”
Diesel’s question reminded German they weren’t alone.
Blaze took his hand and headed for the door. “Laundry room. I’m going to bed.”
Diesel chuckled. “I hear you. This is the most wiped out I’ve felt in ages. I’m crawling into bed too the moment I drop these bags.”
German had never noticed Diesel had such an innocent mind that he didn’t realize why Blaze wanted to go to bed. He was the golden retriever type, so maybe it made some sense.
“Goodnight,” Blaze and German said in unison as they made their way inside.
Blaze didn’t slow. He barreled his way into the bedroom. While German shut and locked the door behind him, Blaze fell face down on the mattress and didn’t move. Maybe German was the one who needed a cleaner mind.
A soft snore reached his ears.
German chuckled. “All right, sexy. You can’t sleep like this.”
Blaze’s eyes shot open. “I wasn’t sleeping. You deserve for me to stay awake and spend time with you. That’s what I plan to do.”
German shook his head. He had already removed Blaze’s shoes. “Don’t worry. I plan to hold you while you sleep. No feelings hurt here. Plus, I need you well-rested.”
Blaze snored again.
German snorted. He probably hadn’t heard a word German had said. German got Blaze out of his clothes, minus the underwear. The ease with which German had him ready for bed and beneath the covers worried him. Blaze’s bones had a sharper edge. His arms were even more cut than before, but he looked as if he hadn’t eaten in weeks. German needed to look into that. No doubt Diesel had all the answers he needed. Blaze likely wouldn’t be honest about not eating.
Right now, German focused on stripping. With that out of the way, he slipped beneath the covers and hauled Blaze into his arms. There was a fullness in his chest the instant Blaze’s body collided with his. He couldn’t let himself fall asleep yet. German couldn’t stand not brushing his teeth before bed. He knew Blaze felt the same. Unfortunately, Blaze needed to sleep more than anything else.
Damn. Blaze really felt amazing in his arms. Maybe he should take up Blaze’s offer to join the tour. He could catch a flight back if Steel needed him, or he could fly to Blaze wherever his next show was once a week or something. He didn’t know what would work best or what he could legitimately pull off. But German knew he couldn’t stand another long stint with only FaceTime dates. While German had no complaints about the nights they spent eating together online, or the dirty as hell shows they gave each other, it was this part. Not being together physically hadn’t lessened the growing feelings at all. German was all the way in this relationship. He hated every night he fell asleep and Blaze wasn’t there. His eyelids grew heavier. Blaze was in his arms. He could finally rest.
A familiar scent tickled his nose. He opened his eyes to find a solid chest pressed against his cheek. Blaze smiled. He ran his hand across German’s stomach. German sucked in his gut. Blaze couldn’t stop his chuckle. He didn’t know if German’s reaction had been an automatic one or if he tried to make Blaze smile. Either way, he was adorable.
“How are you feeling?”
The groggy-sounding question sounded even deeper with his ear pressed against German’s chest. Blaze closed his eyes and savored the moment. “Better. Sorry I fell asleep on you. That’s not what I wanted.”
German hugged him tighter. “It’s what you needed. Plus, I kind of love taking care of you. It kind of looks like I’m the only one.”
Blaze looked up with his brow furrowed. “Where did that come from?”
He felt German shrug. “It looks like you’ve been starving yourself.”
Blaze could fall in love with this guy, if he wasn’t already there. “I don’t think you realize how many calories I burn on these tours. What I do isn’t easy.”
“I’m sure. It looks like you sweat your ass off up there… and in leather pants.Ewww.”
Laughter burst from Blaze.
German didn’t stop. “How do you even get them off afterwards? I swear I can hear the sound they must make while peeling them off. It has to sound likeslrrrrrppand thenplop.”
Blaze couldn’t stop laughing. German was all smiles and ridiculous. Blaze never wanted to be anywhere else. Blaze swiped his eyes and did his best to be serious. “You should come with me and find out.”
“Okay.”
