I let out a gasp. “We’re going to the club?”
David chuckled nervously. “Sorry, I seem to be getting ahead of myself. Yes, I told Daniel that you and Tristan have never been to the club, and we thought it’d be fun to go this weekend, as long as you’re both feeling better. Would you like that?”
Excitement coursed through me, and I practically vibrated right off his lap. “Yes, that sounds like so much fun! Will I get to see your paintings?”
He smiled warmly and tucked my hair behind my ear before placing a soft kiss on my forehead. “Of course, darling. I’ll have to ask Jack for permission to take you into the new pet room, but I doubt he’ll have an issue with it.”
The kiss he placed on my forehead had me feeling like a puddle of goo. I nodded, my words nowhere to be found. My stomach, however, was not lost for words and chose that exact moment to rumble so loud I knew David had heard it.
“Come on, darling. Let’s get you fed.”
Chapter seven
David
Ellery shifted as if they were about to stand up. Instinctively, my arms tightened around them, keeping them in place. I had no problem coming out and saying what I want directly, but I had a feeling Ellery might like to play.
I tsked at them and shook my head in disappointment. “I hate to say this, darling, but it looks like your chair is broken.”
Ellery gasped and turned around to inspect their chair. When they looked back at me, their eyes were narrowed, suspicion written all over their face. “What are you talking about? It looks fine to me.”
“Oh, well, that’s too bad. If it were broken, you’d have no choice but to sit in my lap while I feed you breakfast. But I guess since it’s fine, you can go ahead and sit down.”
Ellery’s eyes widened with understanding, and their cheeks pinkened. “No. Wait. Let me check it again.” Ellery barely turned their head toward the chair before their gaze was back on me, their face fullof mischief. “After a second look, you seem to be right. That chair looks horribly mangled. There’s no way I can sit in it while I eat my breakfast.”
Pulling them closer, I reached forward and grabbed their plate, setting it next to mine. The bacon was so crispy it nearly fell apart as I brought it to their waiting mouth. “I’m afraid you’re right, darling. It’s just too risky. Eat up, princess.”
Ellery nodded, licking their lips before taking a bite of the crispy bacon. “Oh, that’s good.” They let out a moan that was pure satisfaction. They leaned forward to capture more bacon. Their lips were wet with their spit, and I wanted to suck them into my mouth and lick them clean.
My dick throbbed against the cotton of my briefs when their lips brushed against my fingers as they took another bite. My voice was deep and thick with desire. “Good job, darling.”
Ellery’s cheeks flushed as they continued to take the bites I held out for them. Regrettably, I picked up the fork and held out a bite of egg. I missed the feel of their lips ghosting against my skin, but the way they swirled their tongue around the fork before eating the egg had my cock throbbing with want.
Once they were full, they lay against my chest. Their body fully melted into mine, seemingly content to be pressed against me as I started devouring my own breakfast.
After I cleared my plate, I placed a soft kiss on their forehead, wincing as the heat radiating from their skin made my lips tingle. “You, mydarling, are still warm. You’re not burning up, it’s just a low-grade fever, but you need medicine and rest.”
Ellery moved as if they were going to stand, but I grabbed the back of their thighs and pulled them closer to me. Ellery squeaked in surprise when I stood, but quickly wrapped their legs around my waist before burying their face in my chest. “I feel icky.”
Brushing my lips against their head, I sighed. “I know, darling, don’t worry.” We made our way into Ellery’s room, and I gently placed them on their bed. Their eyes were glassy and half-lidded as they roamed up and down my body before their bottom lip jutted into a pout.
Ellery’s voice was soft, and their gaze was fixated on the floor. “Is it okay to ask for snuggles before we’ve been on our date?”
Ellery seemed so nervous yet hopeful, and it nearly broke my heart to have to turn them down. “Darling, you can always ask me for what you want. I would love to climb in next to you and snuggle. Unfortunately, your bed is way too small for both of us.”
“I understand. Thank you, though.”
Ellery’s words said they understood, but they couldn’t hide the disappointment in their tone. I closed the gap between us and gently grabbed their chin, lifting their gaze toward mine. “I’m sorry, darling. If you’re feeling better after your nap, why don’t we go to my place? I know it’s not the most exciting first date, but I can show you some of my paintings, then we can order takeout.” I leaned down and planted a soft kiss on the tip of their nose. “If you eat all your dinner like a good princess, I have a big comfy bed we can snuggle in. How does that sound?”
Ellery sighed, leaning into my touch. “That sounds like the best first date ever.”
A smile so wide I thought my cheeks would crack spread across my face. “Then that’s exactly what we’ll do. Would you like me to read another story?”
Ellery’s cheeks pinkened, making me want to lean forward and press soft kisses to their heated skin. “Yes, please. I love your voice, it’s very soothing.”
Pride swelled within me. The confession made me feel like a king. It was every Daddy’s goal to make their little one happy and comfortable, so knowing that my voice calmed them made me feel invincible.
“Thank you, darling. I’m glad you think so.”
