Closing my eyes, I enjoyed the feel of them against me. They smelled warm and sweet, like vanilla. I’m not sure how long I lay there just holding them before I felt them stir against me. My breath hitched when I saw their gorgeous blue eyes staring back at me. “Well, hello, darling.”
Ellery flashed me a sleepy smile and nuzzled their face into my chest. “Hi. I hope this is okay. I woke up and came to find you, but I was still kinda sleepy, and you looked so comfy.”
Removing my grip from their waist, I cupped the side of their cheek. “You are always welcome to join me for a snuggle. You probably don’t know this, but it’s in the fine print. When I received my Daddy certification, I was required to sign a form saying I’d always cuddle my princess no matter what. So even if I didn’t want to, I’m contractually obligated as your Daddy.” My silly response made me chuckle, but I stopped when I saw that Ellery’s face was frozen in shock.
Just as I was getting worried that my words upset them, their face broke out in a smile. “You want to be my Daddy?”
Their words were full of hope, and it made my heart sing. “I do. I want to take you on the date I promised you, but I also want to be your Daddy and take care of you. I know we just met, and we still have a lot to learn about one another, but I really like you, Ellery. Princess dresses and all.”
All I saw was a flurry of purple, and then I felt it. Ellery was right on top of me, their lips pressed softly against mine. It was a whisper of a kiss, but it left me breathless and wanting more. They pulled away, their face bright red. “I’m sorry, I don’t know what came over me. I really like you too. All of you. I’d love for you to be my Daddy.”
This time, I was the one who leaned forward and pressed my lips to theirs. They let out a gasp, their lips parting just enough for me to slip my tongue inside and deepen the kiss. They moaned into my mouth, their tongue dancing with mine. Need thrummed through me, and my dick was hard and aching.
When we parted for air, Ellery’s cheeks were flushed a beautiful shade of pink, and their kiss-swollen lips were slick with our saliva. They called out to me like a beacon, and I wanted nothing more than to dive back in and consume them. But we had a date, and I wasn’t going to let anything, not even my dick, get in the way.
“You taste so fucking good, darling. I could lie here and kiss you all day, but we have a date to go on.”
Ellery gasped, their eyes sparkling with excitement. “Wait, really? You were serious... Is it not too boring or lame? I don’t like going to super crowded spaces, and I really want to see your paintings, but if that’s too boring, we can go out.” Their voice got softer, and their body radiated nerves. “I just want to spend time with you... It can be anywhere.”
I brushed their wild hair out of their face, tucking it behind their ear, before placing a kiss on the top of their nose. “I don’t like crowded places either. I love that you’re interested in my art and want me to share it with you. That to me is way more meaningful than a fancy restaurant.” They smiled, but it didn’t quite reach their eyes. I desperately wanted to reassure them. “Darling, as long as I’m with you, I don’t give a fuck where we are. I want to show you my art, eat takeout with you, and fall asleep holding you. The only thing that could make it better would be if you brought some princess dresses with you and gave me a fashion show.”
Ellery’s jaw dropped for what felt like the hundredth time, making me chuckle. “I can bring my pretties and have a fashion show too?”
“Of course you can, darling.”
Ellery jumped off me and started twirling around the small space, their body nearly exploding with excitement. I found myself wanting to pull them back into my embrace so I could feel their warmth, but watching them dance around, their joy palpable, filled me with a different kind of warmth.
“Okay, princess, let’s get this date started!”
Ellery stopped instantly, and I almost thought they were going to protest, but their face broke into the biggest smile I’d ever seen.
“Yay! Our first date!”
Hope so powerful flared to life within me, taking root and burrowing deeper than I thought possible. It was our first date, and if I had anything to say about it, there would be many, many more.
Chapter eight
Ellery
The sun was bright and nearly blinding as David led us to his car. When we reached the vehicle, David’s hand left the small of my back before he rushed forward and opened the passenger door. He stood beside the open door and bowed. “Your carriage awaits, princess.”
He looked absolutely adorable, bent over, one hand resting on his stomach and the other extended to the side. “Well, thank you, good sir.” I couldn’t help the laugh of pure happiness that left me as I skipped to the car and hopped inside.
“Here you go, darling.” David grabbed my seat belt and fastened it around me.
My body was still buzzing after our kiss from earlier. His lips had felt so good against mine; I couldn’t wait to kiss him again. David had stayed in the living room while I packed some dresses and clothes for my stay at his place.
He had stayed at my place the night before because I was sick, but tonight I was staying at his apartment so we could snuggle in his bed. Was it too soon for that? I didn’t care. David wanted to snuggle with me, and I was never one to turn down snuggles.
“Ellery.”
Looking up, I saw we were already on the road. Huh. When I turned to David, he looked at me with a smirk that definitely meant it wasn’t the first time he’d tried to get my attention. My face flushed from embarrassment.
“Sorry, I got lost in thought. What did you say?”
David placed his hand on my thigh and rubbed softly. “It’s okay, darling. I asked you if you’d be okay talking about expectations and limits. Is that okay?”
My dick perked up at the mention of limits, but my gut churned with anxiety. I wanted to know everything about David and what he liked and disliked, but what if we weren’t compatible?
