Nick knelt, opening his mouth and sucking Reece’s cock into it. It slipped into his mouth easily, tip teasing the back of Nick’s throat. Reece shrieked, both hands on Nick’s head, hips pressing forward as if to keep himself inside Nick’s mouth, though he frantically moved until they’d switched positions, blocking the water from Nick with his back. Nick didn’t give a damn about the water, but Reece’s awareness was adorable.

“Nicky,” he whimpered, fingers clenching in Nick’s short hair when he sucked hard. He was already throbbing. All Nick had to do was press a thumb against the plug and add a little pressure, and Reece’s cum was shooting down his throat. Not as muchafter coming multiple times the night before—mere hours before—but enough for Nick to get a good taste of him.

He was all boneless after coming, and knowing as much, Nick sucked his way off and stood, wrapping his arms around Reece and holding him to his body.

Nick felt a little less stressed after that, not sure what it was that was bothering him. He couldn’t wait to visit L.A. for the first time and participate in the training camp. It was just one step before the draft. Keeping up with his conditioning was a daily priority for Nick, but the training camp was made to ensure he was in prime condition before he was officially drafted.

The trip was vital to Nick’s future career and he was looking forward to it but it was hard to focus on all the good it would bring when Reece was toweling himself dry in a rush, the plug between his cheeks peeking at Nick, making him want at least one more round before he had to go.

Unfortunately, there was no time. Nick begrudgingly brushed his teeth while Reece disappeared, then dragged himself back into his bedroom to get dressed. He got a t-shirt, hoodie, shorts, and joggers, laying them out on his bed before stepping into his briefs. Reece walked back into the room as soon as they were in place, carrying the gift basket he made. He really went all out, which was cute as hell.

It would’ve been nice to just get back in bed and go back to sleep with Reece snuggling up to him, the scent of his shampoo lulling Nick. After getting his shorts on, Nick sat on the bed and grabbed Reece by the waist, pulling him between his legs and resting his forehead on his shoulder.

“No more sleeping,” Reece said, rubbing Nick’s back in long, soothing strokes. “We have to go soon.” He kissed Nick’s cheek and then started rubbing his arms. “Let’s get these compression sleeves on you.”

Nick wouldn’t have dreamed of arguing, not with Reece relaxing his muscles by massaging his hand, arm, and shoulder thoroughly before pulling the first sleeve on and smoothing it out. After both arms, Reece knelt on the floor and gave Nick’s legs the same treatment. He was dozing off by the time Reece finished, grumbling a complaint when it was over.

Reece giggled quietly and patted Nick’s thigh before moving over to the basket and organizing things. “I think I’ve got everything you need here for the flight. Did you pack enough shoes?”

Nick grunted and stood, stretching his back and arms with a yawn. “Yeah… all that shit’s packed up by the door.”

“You still want me to drive you?”

“Yeah. Want you to keep an eye on this place while I’m gone, too. Stop by once in a while.”

“I can do that.”

The ride to the airport was quiet and short. Reece drove them in Nick’s car and carried the backpack with Nick’s flight essentials while Nick managed the rest of his luggage. They were soon seated with Declan and Alex, awaiting their flight to be called. Reece was stiff, both hands tucked between his thighs. Nick was slouched in his own seat, legs spread wide enough that the right, nearest Reece, was pressed against his. His hands were in the front pocket of his hoodie, the hood itself over his head.

“Glad we got to see you this morning before we go,” Declan said to Reece. He’d been pacing around as if he couldn’t be still since they arrived, and walked right over to Reece, a hand stretching out to settle on top of his head. Maybe to ruffle those silken blond strands. Nick’s hand was out of his pocket and halting Declan by his wrist before he could though.

“The hell, Nick?” Declan huffed.

“You’re too damn handsy. Fuck off. It’s ass o’clock and I’m not in the mood.”

Nick’s mood really was foul, and that didn’t change even with Reece’s blue eyes on him, studying him with an innocent curiosity that Nick was annoyingly fond of.

“I’m really gonna miss you guys,” Reece said, voice wobbling, eyes already filled with tears. It would be the longest they’d ever been apart since they met.

The flight was called and all of them stood, Declan crushing Reece in a hug despite Nick’s harsh glare. Then Reece turned to Alex and hugged him, the two sharing their farewells, all the while Nick just stood there, waiting, wishing he could take Reece with him. Then it was just them, with only seconds to spare, and Reece met his gaze, the tears falling down his cheeks with one blink, that soft lower lip wobbling. Nick wrapped his right arm around him, holding Reece tight to his chest.

“Don’t worry, Kitten. My dick will be back before you can miss it too much,” Nick teased, and when Reece pulled back to smack him, Nick laughed, pleased that his words distracted Reece like he wanted them to.

“You’re so mean, Nicky. I’ll miss all of you, you know… Now who’s gonna have Pizza and Fashion Disaster Tuesdays with me?” He sniffled, the tears falling faster.

It was hard to believe that Reece ever managed to talk Nick into watching that shit, but oddly enough, he’d miss it too. “It’ll be quick.”

“Okay…” Reece wiped his cheeks and embraced Nick around the waist. “Be safe. Have lots of fun with the guys.”

“See you.” Nick lifted his hand to lay over Reece’s hair, feeling how soft and smooth it was, and pressed a kiss into Reece’s head before he even realized what he was doing.

Nick didn’t look back once he walked away, already knowing what he’d find there. The time would fly by and they both knew that. Reece was just a crybaby. Always had been, always would be. It was one of the things about Reece that Nick was attractedto, but this was one of the times Nick couldn’t handle seeing his tears.

Chapter 13 - Reece

Nick was gone. For an entire month, Reece wouldn’t be able to see him. Feel him. Smell him. He was gone, already well on his way to L.A., but Reece didn’t feel entirely alone because Nick was all around him.
