“Mhm.” Nick didn’t doubt it, and he was about to tease Reece over it as he tucked his dick back into his shorts, but then he noticed blue silk sheets and it had him stopping in his tracks. “Are you in my bed?”

Whatever sleep was left clinging to him evaporated, and Reece’s eyes opened wide, alert and alarmed. “A-ah—umm—uh y-yes. Yeah. Well…”

“You missin’ me that much, Kitten?”

“Nicky,” Reece whined, cheeks puffing out.

“Don’t make that face when it’s too far to be fucked.”

“You’re teasing so much…”

“Yeah, you like it.”

“Stop with that mouth,” Reece groaned. “Don’t make me all horny when you can’t do anything about it.”

“Ha. Please. This mouth is doing something about it,” Nick said as he walked over, opened the shower, and turned it on. “All I gotta do is call you a good little kitten and tell you to come for me, and you’ll be done for.”

“How dare you—”

Nick set up his phone on the sink and pushed down his shorts. Reece shut up and just stared, and Nick flexed, grinning when Reece brought the phone so close to his face that all Nick could see was his nose and eyes.

“Did I lie?” Nick asked as he turned, shamelessly giving Reece a clear view of his naked backside before stepping into the shower.

Ten minutes later, when Nick stepped out, Reece was lying in bed, still on the phone, watching it attentively.

“So fast, Nicky.”

The way he spoke so slowly told Nick Reece was really tired, and he almost felt bad for waking him up. Almost.

“Alright, Ree. Get back to sleep.”

“No. I’m up.”

Nick tucked his towel around his waist, rolling his eyes, then grabbed his toothbrush. “You’re sleepy.”

“No way you’re teasing me and then sending me off to sleep.”

“Aw, did your little dick get hard that easy?”

“Nicky!”

Reece turned red. Nick laughed. The call didn’t end for another half an hour.

Chapter 17 - Reece

After two weeks, Reece thought that he might be dying. Slowly. And painfully. It was miserable. Despite all the friends that Reece had and no matter how busy he kept himself, he was still so lonesome. Knowing Nick was out of his reach, and would be for another two weeks—that he had only made it halfway—was just too much for him to process.

“Good morning, Reece,” Kent greeted him as he trudged into the kitchen, following the delicious aroma of apples and cinnamon.

“Morning.” He sat at the bar, opening his phone to a ton of messages from Alex. He was disappointed to learn that Nick was having a bad day, and right as he was reading the last messages, a short video clip came through of Nick with his head on Alex’s lap, and Alex was scratching his scalp.

Alex:He’s having trouble sleeping.

Reece frowned, chest aching because he wanted Nick resting well and because he wanted to be the one there with Nick, comforting him and putting him to sleep.

Before he could stop himself, Reece was calling, his heart skipping a beat whenever Alex answered and immediately angled the camera to focus on Nick. His beautiful face was set in a scowl, even with his eyes closed and him clearly trying to relax.
